The brilliant Wreck and Salvage produced a bizarre and unsettling compilation of Sarah Palin's breaths in her recent "Blood Libel" speech. Intrigued, I played the breaths in reverse to see if any secret messages to her supporters might be revealed.
I caught a "hhhuuuuthp huue hhhhiii" and also an "ia ia!" but did you catch the bit at the beginning where she actually speaks? I believe she says "McCartney, very much sad. F*** GIBBS, AIGHT?" Chilling.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin insisted Monday that she did know the definition of, and correctly used, the term “blood libel” in recently striking back at her critics.

“Blood libel obviously means being falsely accused of having blood on your hands,” Palin said in a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity.

Actually, it's much more than that. It's a historic and defamatory slur on an entire group of people, meant to demean, and even more, dehumanize them. It's not simply being falsely accused of having blood on your hands, otherwise anyone falsely accused of a crime could claim "blood libel," and that's not what it means by any stretch.

But I suppose if you're not that bright, mock education, have never properly mastered the English language, and use phrases that your speechwriter gives you without really knowing what they mean, or having any notion of the history behind them (does anyone seriously believe that Palin knew the history of the phrase - please), then yes, you might be confused about the meaning and usage of "blood libel." And that's why you shouldn't use phrases you don't understand.

(And for added ME ME ME benefit, Palin goes on to criticize the memorial service the President attended, calling it a "pep rally." That's right, continue to mock the dead, Ms. Palin. Great way to bring the country together.)

Palin QUIT as Governor of Alaska and is therefore by definition a quitter. She abdicated responsibilities she swore to the good people of Alaska that had elected her to perform. She broke that sacred trust in order to pursue personal enrichment($)and infamy.
Blood libel was never covered in the Lunatic O'Reilly's talking points memo's or the Lunatic Beck's numerous manifesto's so how would Ms. Palin ever know about it?
Blood Libel - The blood libel is a false accusation that Jews sacrifice Christian children either to use the blood for various "medicinal" purposes or to prepare Passover Matzoth (unleavened bread) or for vengeance and mock crucifixions. It is one of the central fables of Anti-Semitism of the older (middle ages) type. The blood libel is a phenomenon of medieval and modern Christian anti-Semitism, but spread to the Middle East as early as 1775, when there was a blood libel in Hebron. A second blood libel occurred in Damascus in 1840 and one occurred in Cyprus in the same year. As the blood libel was the subject of folk ballads and literature, it was not simply a religious superstition in Europe, but a staple of popular culture, like most anti-Semitic prejudices.
Blood Libel, Nazi Germany
Blood Libel illustration in the Nazi Newspaper Westdeutchen Beobachter of Cologne, published by Robert Ley - the most popular newspaper in Western Germany in the early years of Nazism.
Blood libels in the both the West and the East were generally occasions for large-scale persecution and judicial murders of Jews, as well as the basis for expulsions and pogroms. There have been about 150 cases of blood libel that were actually tried by Catholic authorities, and many other rumored cases that never came to trial.
The enduring nature of the blood libel is one of its most remarkable features. It was an invention of the pagans. It was revived and exploited in medieval Christian superstition, later promoted deliberately by the counter-reformation and the Inquisition, By the 19th century, much of the "old" anti-Semitism of the medieval period had passed from the world, but the libel persisted. It has been transplanted to the United States and the belief flourishes in Muslim countries as well. Investigations, instigations and enforcement had been transferred in part from the Roman Catholic Church to lay authorities: Tsarist police, Polish police and even New York State Troopers.
Various immediate political or other motivations are often attached to the accusations, such as desire to obtain Jewish property, but the libel could not succeed if large numbers of people did not believe it, and they do. The blood libel is not a thing of the past. The idea that ritual sacrifice is practiced by Jews is held by supposedly learned professors, one of whom asked complains that:
We are simply supposed to dismiss as anti-Semitic ranting any argumentation... which would uphold that the Catholics could have been justified in their claims that Jews in the Middle Ages practiced blood libel, Kabbalitic black magic, and child crucifixions.(see traditioninaction.org/History/A_010_BloodyPas... )
Of course, it is impossible to disprove such claims, and of course some Jews practiced or believed in "Kabbalitic magic" which is harmless mystical superstition, and is here turned into something sinister.
The blood libel has insinuated itself into political discourse. In 2003, The Independent published a cartoon of Ariel Sharon eating babies, which was awarded a prize. In 2009, Pat Oliphant published a cartoon of a Jewish start dripping blood.

In 2011 Sarah Palin proved once again to be an idiotic peckerwood by abusing the term in a failed defense of her own political and personal inadequacies and mis-steps.

"Sarah Palin was asked a question by a third grader and she got it wrong. She apparently still does not know what the vice president does ... She says he or she runs the Senate. No, not in this country. You know I would never accuse George Bush of being a bright man, but when he was elected, at least he knew which building to show up to."

Our current VP is a real brainiac.
----------
Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S.

Joe Biden
Jobs is a three-letter-word, according to Biden speaking about John McCain's economic policies at a US presidential election rally, October 2008 .
----------
When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, "look, here's what happened."

Joe Biden
In interview with CBS News, September 2008. However, Roosevelt wasn't president in 1929 and televisions were still experimental.
----------
Uh, uh, Chuck Graham, state senator, is here. Stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see you. Oh, God love you. What am I talking about.

Joe Biden
To wheelchair-bound Missouri state senator, Charles Graham, September 9, 2008.

"On Glenn Beck's radio show, Sarah Palin accidentally said,'We have to stand with our North Korean allies.' Then Palin was like,'Wait. North Korea's the one in the south, right?'

Do you really want to defend her any further with cracks about Democrats???

This isn't about being a representative of the Republican Party...

it's about being just plain stoooopid...

if that's what you want leading your country...simply because she IS Republican...then you are a dumbass too.

She can't possibly be any worse that the so-called leadership currently in power. Hell, I would vote for the Three Stooges over them. Even
HillaryBeast would have been a better choice than the Kenyan.

Do you realize that when you belittle people for asking "stupid" questions, you destroy their ability to keep asking questions?
