Does anyone know what they are building across from Abshire Stadium on Texas Ave?

This has to be the third time this question has been asked... that's OK... my hat's off to the Iraq Vet!

Good question. I would like to know if they have any plans for the old SJE once the new one is built.

I'm not sure of the plans for the Admin building, but I've heard that the old SJE will be torn down. However, I haven't heard what they plan to do with the land.

Is the current building in bad shape?

It's OLD!

In consideration of its' age and the maintenance costs, in the long run, it was determined that it would be cheaper to replace it with a newer, up to date, energy efficient building.

It was included in the bond money that voters passed.

It might be noted that these were the same reasons that a new elementary school will be built to replace SJE.

You are quite lucky, as under normal conditions DPTX would beat down a citizen that would dare ask a question that has been asked before. You would be subject to name calling and other abuses, and if anyone in your family was autistic you would be in big trouble.
DPTX has "answered" the question before, however his answers have all been incomplete. I gave him three tries to get it right and feel that I must now reluctantly step in with a more complete answer.

According to the information provided by DPISD prior to the 158 million dollar 2010 Bond election.

The construction is part of the 92.8 million dollars to be spent on "facilities",The construction you asked about is not for an "administration building" although it will contain administrative offices.According to DPISD it is an :

"Instructional Support Center:.... A support facility to house the district’s instructional offices, special education department, psychological and counseling department, and administrative offices"

No, I save those types of comments solely for morons like you.

So, you think that you've clarified the answer, eh? The only thing you did was prove your own ignorance.

The response was "simple" since it was correct, dimwit. Now, stop and think for just a moment... read back over the offices that will be housed in the new building...
They are all part of the ADMINISTRATION of the school district and it doesn't matter what kind of fancy name they wish to use, it's STILL the new ADMINISTRATION building, which will house all of those currently in the OLD Administration building, regardless of any other departments that may be included in the facility.

Shheeesh! Some people just seem to have to have a hole drilled into their head and have information poured in and hope that they might absorb something. Unfortunately, it appears that the drill bit went all the way through yours and it all put went right out the other side, which accounts for you inability to understand much of anything.

Obviously no bugs up your ass... no room with your head firmly stuck in it!

DIPTEX: Just to clarify. You are woefully inept at, well, just about everything! When I read your snarky comments, I can't help but ask myself when I'm done "Self, can I have a refund on the time spent reading the musings of this fool???"

Careful observers will notice that then--as--now, his mouth is wide open and indiscernible noise spews forth. He's loud, real loud but it's just all muddled nonsense; nothing's changed.

Adding just a bit to the original information, the plan is to build the new San Jacinto Elementary on district owned property across from the Methodist Church on 13th. Once that is complete and the kids are moved, San Jacinto Elementary will be used to house students from the North Campus while portions of it are rehabilitated/rebuilt. Then San Jacinto is scheduled to be torn down. Perhaps the property will be held in reserve until the next bond election.
