I have heard the City has a Committee to helps fellow employees that are in need of help basically for medical needs. They recently had a fundraiser for a former Police Office who is retired and his wife still works for the City. Which I totally understand and is well deserved. But I have recently found out they have denied another employee whose husband is in need of back surgery. Pretty sad that they help one but not the other. Typical politics!!!

To answer your question, Yes sir/ma'am, we do have a Committee at the City of Deer Park that is called the Charity Committee. Please keep in mind that this group is an informational Committee only. The event that was set to assist the retired police officer and his family was started by individuals who wanted to help and made possible by his loving family and friends, not a city event. I personally was notified by the other situation you have mentioned and I personally have decided to hold off a few weeks to allow a break between the two events. It has not been brought to the attention of the Committee at this time, but I can assure you that it will and as always we will be spreading the word for that family as well. So that the information is correct, the undenied employee's husband is actually in need of neck surgery, caused by Spinal Stenosis. If you have any ideas or would like to get involved to help this sweet girl and her family please contact.
