Wife went for oil change, and they claimed her timing belt needed replaced,$850 repair bill.
I ask for the old belt when we picked up car, but they said they threw away. Won't accept checks or credit cards, just cash. Stay away, bad place.

Here we go again, more gossip about a business in DP. Some people have told me that they like the place. However, I did not like their attitude so went elsewhere.

Nobody likes your attitude and wish you would go elsewhere, loser.

Never been there. Deer Park Automotive gets my business or Bill Lowry in Pasadena.

I really don't see a problem with people posting their reviews I see it no differently than hotels reviews or any other such reviews. Take this sort of information with a grain of salt they say.

I liked Prices Automotive when Mr. & Mrs. Price owned it, and Bob worked there.
Bill Lowry in Pasadena fixed a car for us for which I am grateful. I just knew that car was ruined, but they fixed it.

Place is a rip off and they are being investigated by the DA. They also only accept cash. Criminals own this so if you want to give away some of your hard earned money and not get anything in return by all means stop on by

Does not sound like gossip to me, instead it sounds like a good citizen letting people know about his experience with the business. Just drive on down the road a piece to 4414 Center to Deer Park automotive, theyhave always done a fair and reasonable job for me, and they are pleasant to deal with.

That is cheap if they really did it, I was quoted $1500!

I stopped by here because they advertise 11.95 oil change. When i walked in to what i guess you would call the lobby, a man named Joe walked up to me and stated that the price of oil doubled and an oil change would be $28. He said walmart was charging $35 now and he was still the cheapest around. I agreed because I usually pay 30-35 at Jiffy Lube. So i waited, standing in the lobby because the couches looked like they got them out of a dumpster, and there were coffee mugs sitting all around with cigarette butts floating around in all of them. The place was just creepy. Then i see a sign that says "cash only" credit card machine broken, dont take checks. Hmm thats a little odd. Cash only? The man said the new Jack in the box cut their phone lines but i noticed on these reviews that they had the same "cash only" sign up 3 weeks ago also. I could go on and on but it looks like this place is run by some non taxes paying, under the table convicts, i dont believe they even changed my oil filter, and they poured oil in my car out of a big unnamed yellow tub. Dont come here....i'll never be back. Wish i had read the reviews before coming. They need to be shut down.

For many years I have used Firestone to change my oil, generally I go in with a coupon that I got from the paper, online or one of the specials they mail to me. I had never paid more than 24.00, I went in this time without a coupon and the bill came to right around $40.00.

I should have used the coupon for a 15.00 oil change here:

They overfill your oil so as to charge 1.75 per quarter of a quart. They dont follow recommended oil levels

Prices used to be good, not anymore. After the owners changed it did a complete turnaround.
About 8 months ago I toom my truck to Billy Lowery in Pasadena to have tghe AC checked. They told me that for $900 they would have it good as new.... Less than a week later I had heavy smoke coming from under the dash... I took it back and they said it was the AC but "not a part they fixed".... I then took it to Deer Park Automotive where they found the problem and fixed it. Billy Lowery refused to even look at the truck or give $ back.
Last week my son (not knowing about my experience) took his truck to have a window checked, they quoted $350 to fix it, he called me and I told him to take it somewhere else. He went to another place and had it fixed for $55 parts and labor.

If you people would just change your own oil it'd just cost you 20 bucks or less!

Looks like these folks have retired (packed up and moved out) from the auto repair biz at this location. This has not been a very lucky locale for any business that I can remember.Maybe a Pawn shop could make it there or the city could purchase it and turn it into Totally Texas Festival H.Q. and the 4B Educational Center.

I think this could be a great place for the HQ of the Deer Park Tourism Board. They could give visitors a nice tour the new JackInTheBox, a couple of empty buildings, a couple of pawn shops and they could even boast that we have two McDonalds within minutes of City Hall...
Of course the real tourists come for the history, so take them to the log cabin on Center St, that should take about 10 minutes of their stay.
Last, they could sit and have a treat fromthat rude man that runs theDQ and while doing so they could enjoy the glow of the refinery fires.

The couple who was running this scam is from New York. Their names are Joe Phillips and Amy Waldron. They are con artists. Just google their names and numerous reports pop up.( ripoffreport.com is one site with info). If you were a victim also PLEASE SPEAK UP! Justice needs to be served.

Mr Joe Philips is now set up on 35 in Pearland, near where 518 and 35 intersect. They are across the street from Valero and the Big Lots. Beware.
PS the Same bullshit sign for cheap oil is up here. HAHAHA

Joseph Micheal Phillips is an excon from NY. He has moved to 3304 Old Alvin Rd pearland from the N. Main Street location; evicted for nonpayment of rent. Doesnt pay his bills, nor his workers. His preferred wrecker service is RPM and he does buisness w/ Auto Emporium of Pearland; Broadway St. 2 buisnesses you might wanna shy away from. Joe bragged about the kick backs he gets from RPM for sending buisness thier way. Joe was charged w/ illegal possession of a handgun and Criminal Mischief in Harris County; hence why he moved operations to Brazoria County.
