Does anyone eat at lakeside anymore?

Has anyone tried the "new" Lakeside Deli?

Not anymore but when I was a kid (mid 80's)we went there alot.

Me too!! It used to be the "thing to do" and they had decent food! I kind of wish this town would go back to the way it was then,it just seemed more simple back then ,I can see kids driving now that i knew when they were babies!!!Gees,"those were the days". Anyway,if you eat there let me know,just curious.

Pokey had great food but its not the same trust me.

Have you been there?I heard the new owners have pretty much made it just another beer joint,and the food is...well,not as good as it used to be.

ate their a couple times, I live in Crossville so dont get down there much but food tastes kinda same as did in past, (the good ol days 4 sure)

That lady he has working there was a bitch to some of us guys when we stopped through there one evenin. The food she made us was awful and she was a bitch to all of us. That's the last time we'll go there when she works. That guy thats the owner and his wife always seemed like nice folks but they should cann that ladies ass. We used to always stop through when we were in Monterey but after she treated us like that HELL NO!!!! If I'm gonna pay for something i expect to be treated like somebody not like shit! I have had a business for 17 years now and if i had anybody working for me treating my customers like that well, they wouldn't be workin for me long. I don't think I have ever been treated like that in all my 52 years. Just goes to show how hard it is to find good help these days. So much for a 6 pack and a sandwich after a day out muddin. Is there anywhere else to stop and get it with a drive through in Monterey?
