" â I saw everything from turkey to deer; owls roosted in the trees."
thats funny- I go walking/hiking/running back there about 3 to 5 times a week for the last 5 years and i have seen turkey's once and maybe one or two deer a year. See a lot of hawks, birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc but never really any dee or turkeys. i know there are a lot back there. "there is bobcats back there too" and we had a bear back there a few years ago' but you were lucky to see all of that the only time you have ever been back there.

I enjoy your column. Hopefully someday you'll put together a hiking book, kind of like "50 Hikes in CT." I think it would be great to have.
