Not sruprising - this area has older homes - possibly not kept up to code. Hope all victims recover safely.

And once again - my dog could have provided more details to this story....what a waste...get a reporter who can tell a little more info. PATHETIC.

I was at lunch today talking about that house down here ni NC. I bought that in '83 and renovated most of it. Bathroom downstairs, new base board heating, deck w/ a benchseat, new siding, knocked walls down, new windows.
Then I get back from lunch and there's an email telling me to look om wtnh..your old house is going up. And there it was.
Sad.

Check your smoke alarms and keep fresh bateries. Best for us all to "learn not to burn"! Be safe everyone and give thanks for those who risked their own safety to put the fire out.

Well: finances, sexual orientation, age, illnesses, marital issues, etc. are private matters. Now, this is a fire that many volunteers put their life on the line to put out and everyone has the right to know what happened. People want to know because they are concerned and care.

Now, maybe your post means that you know something more. Like the rumor that is already swilling around? I believe the name is Pollack? Again, these posters are just concerned.

It truly is private. No disrespect to anyone but... Yes, it was bad and no one wished any harm to anyone. Just a bad set of circumstances. We extend our thoughts and prayers for the famly that lived at 206.

The house is my neighbor and I would like everyone to know I subsist next door. I also want everyone to think that I attend school. Of some kind.

I just found out about this terrible incident this evening. My parents purchased this house back in 1965 and we lived there until 1974 or so. Although this was several monhs ago, my prayers go out to those volunteers who fought this fire. The Deep River F.D has always been top notch. Thank you for all that you do...
