I think M. Jodi Moody should have another task force as to why this earthquake happened.

To correct the "it doesn't happen here often." There is an earthquake measuring instrument in Moodus that reports to Boston University's earthquake study center because of the frequent activity. Back to the time of the native americans this area has been know for its siesmic activity.

"State Police Troop F went out to several of the houses and after an extensive investigation, they have no explanation for their homes shaking."
The police couldn't figure out it was an earthquake either? I feel safe.

Are you sure it was not a tractor trailer passing by? Here in Southern California, a 2.0 isn't even reported on the front page.

Okay wait. Now I know these things don't happen all that often here. BUT to call the police to tell them your house is shaking??!!!! What did they think it was those darn kids next door again???? "911..What's your emergency?" Please send an officer my house felt like it was shaking!" People really ought to think it out sometime before they react! 2.0 sure that would give you a little shake, but for god's sake it ain't like it knocked 'em out of bed!

with a handle like tripper....?????you must do a lot of hallucinogens.....CT does not normally have earthquakes, not on a regular basis like CA anyway. so, when we have a 2.0 yeah, it makes the news here

Well, it's not a totally bad idea to call the authorities...your house could be shaking because of a nearby natural gas explosion (no Lisa Moody jokes here). Just a thought.

Did Moody step out of a car in Deep River? That may have caused it.

No Mooody joke this time. I've had my fun today. I agree with you completely.

I lived in Saybrook when Valley Met blew up. 1968? I got real scared and called my mother at work.

I guess if someone was actually scared this morning they would call 911. I mean, who else would you call?

Also, I currently live in East Haddam and we are used to it up here. However, this first time I experienced the "Moodus Noises" I admit, it brought back the Valley Met memory.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aries

Keep a firm grip on your money today to avoid anyone else getting their mitts on it. If you're out in public you should keep your wallet or bag clamped to your side, just in case it goes walkabout. You should also make sure you check any bills and invoices that you're given, in case they contain a mistake. It's a day when errors and deceptions are highly likely.
