Yes, we all have "lost our temper" at one time or another, but everyone NOT in the NFL that has lost it to THIS degree is behind bars serving their just punishment. There is no doubt that this guy should have been taken off the field in handcuffs.

I have known Albert on a personal level for years. He does have a bad temper, but we ALL have lost control (not quit this bad). I have spoken with him and he is very somber and discusted with his actions
No excuse! We have all lost control.... BS.... He needs to be out of the league....and have charges brought...

Arrest is not enough - barring thugs of this ilk from all sports is what is needed. Take away their millions, their gold necklaces and let them try to get a job. With the mediocre education most have received, while being subsidized in their collegiate endeavors, my guesss is that most would revert to their criminal behavior. Hang them high, really start giving our youngsters some idea of moral character by eliminating this sort of incidents.

ok, i dont think a "no further contact with the NFL" or "jail time" is in order. I'm a female so usually i vote for strict sanctions for violence. But keep in mind that football is a contact sport, so losing your temper is going to end up more physical than if u lose your temper, say, at the mall. Now I'm not condoning this behavior and think there should be punishment, but let's not get carried away. I dont know how I would react in a football game or in a steroid rage with all that testosterone and adrenaline and all that.

Kick him out of all sports. He is nothing but trouble.
There is no reason anybody should support this trash.
If we can't find decent human beings to fill all the sports we have, cut back on the number of teams.Let's put sportmanship back in Sports.

What a loser thug. And dumb as a stump too. Assaulting somebody right on national TV.

He should be arrested, thrown in jail, forfeit his salary, and go back to scrubbing toilets.

What an ass.

You know, I don't even blame you for thinking that. The segmented clip the media keeps shoving down our throats actually leaves room for that interpretation. Too bad they don't show the whole assault, instead of picking it up halfway through it where he's already kicked him in the back of the shoulder, already either bent down and removed his helmet or knocked it out of the way (this part is a little jumbled because bodies are in the way, but he definitely stooped down and used his hands for something and then the helmet is gone), and he's already clearly looked down and assessed the situation and found him satisfactorily defenseless after which he hikes his leg up for full force. THIS is where the replay clip comes in. The guy's leg's already mid-air so they give you the option of believing that since it's such a barbaric thing for someone to do, he couldn't have possibly intended to do it. Instead, you are left to wonder if he might have just been stepping over and accidentally come down on his face. BULL! That's what is wrong with the media. I'm all for showing what happened, but you can't pick it up in the middle like that and pretend that was it in a nutshell. To appreciate the severity you have to have seen it play out, as it actually happened. I don't blame you for ignorance, you're just going off of what you've been shown by a slanted media.

I agree that his actions are disgusting. I feel he needs anger management and severe fines and a suspension. I don't know about the assault charges....only because....look at hockey. That's the bloodiest sport (next to boxing and UFC...which are supposed to be bloody) and they don't get assault charges on them...and in hockey, it's pretty brutal too.

I think the NFL will deal with this today.I believe the Titans will also respond today and try to put this matter behind them and get back to playing football.Albert really does need some help and Titans are a class NFL TEAM and will do what it takes to help Albert and the Team. GO TITANS

What Haynesworth did is just proof of what the titans have become. With the actions of pac-man and now albert, the Titans are becomming thug central. The titans are not only losing games, but they are also losing fans and respect across the country. Get ahold on it jeff....or you will be the last remaining player off of the superbowl titans to be cut. The titans were actually on GMA this morning, but not the kind of attention we want.

i dont agree w/ the racial thing. albert is just a hot headed thug, nothing to do with black or white. when ever there is trouble albert is there. Even if it's just fights on the practice field...it's always haynesworth

I want the league to make hime write the fine check directly to Gurode, not some charity of Albert's choice. And the fine should be at least 1/2 - 3/4 year salary with a minimum 6 game suspension and anger management classes

That was total bullshit.. you dont do that in football. this si not the UFC.. I think he should be brought up on assault charges.. if that were to happen outside a football stadium your ass would be in jail. I hope I dant see you ine the NFL ever again..Maybe you can get a job with the WWE

#40 Oct 2, 2006
He should not only be suspended and fined and have an assault charge be made against him. Maybe this will make some of the other dirty players wake up. Gurode could have lost an eye too.
