Your lack of compassion and complete lack of understanding of the addiction process make you the moron. Many, if not most, drug a users grew up in homes where drugs were used by parents, where they were sexually or physically abused. Then there are the folks who became addicted after an illness or injury leading to addiction through the necessary use of pain medication. Many addicts are mentally ill or vets suffering from PTSD, good people who are trying to end their own pain. People who hold attitudes like yours is what's wrong with society.
