FR hurry up and die will you

I did not vote for McCain/Palin, I abstained from that election. Did not matter much anyway, O was going to win Mass with, or without my vote. Now how about an honest answer back, do you even realise your words give one party a pass, and blame all this country's MANY ills on the other? As long as you are not holding BOTH parties accountable, you are being pushed around the board like a pawn. Think about what others are questioning about the party you endorse. Does even one negative implication sound plausible to you? Do you investigate any of the accusations on your own? No one can be fooled 100% of the time unless they want to be. |
|
If you posted Bush was a great leader, I would agree he brought this country together after 9/11 and that even though his party had full Senate & House control for 6 years, he did not further his party's agenda over that of America (Abortion, Baker Davis, birth control, and all the other Dem talking points were still intact after 6 years) Then I would tell you Iraq was a mistake, as was the Patriot act. I would say his biggest mistake was how fiscally liberal he was. In the last 2 years of his presidency, the federal government spent more money than it had ever before. Until Obama got elected, GWB was the worst president when it comes deficit spending. Heck, even Obamas own party hasn't been able to pass ONE SINGLE BUDGET IN 4 YEARS! But you didn't applaud GWB, you threw the weight of the world on him So in 6 years Bush crashed the economy? Well the last 6 have had a MAJORITY of Dems in control Where do we lay the blame there FR? I bet you loved the Clinton years. Did you notice who was running the House & Senate then? Do you give ANY credit to them? |
|
I do hold both parties, the Senate and Congress responsible. However, all I see is the bashing of President Obama and the small minded uninformed adolescents posting about my wife and my death which are all meaningless foolish posts. A lot of these people cannot understand the majority of Americans re-elected the president because there was just not a viable alternative to lead America, they have spoken at the voting booth, so now it’s time to stop complaining, pointing fingers, boo-hooing about past events and support the President. If you have not voted in the past or recently then you have nothing to complain about because you did not exercise your civic obligation. |

Judged: 2 Well, since I haven't attacked you or your wife, that part doesn't apply to me. I did vote in this election, so that criticism doesn't apply to me either. As far as criticizing the actions of a president, you don't seem to have a problem criticizing the last one, now suddenly this one is exempt, because you say so. Sorry, he was elected by the American people, but you weren't. I don't see this presidential choice turning out well for America in the end. Because I love this country, I hope I'm wrong. |

Judged: 1 “As far as criticizing the actions of a president, you don't seem to have a problem criticizing the last one, now suddenly this one is exempt, because you say so.” I never said that I approve of everything our president has done or is currently doing, his evaluation and his Administrations will come at the end of his elected term just like the last president. Why is it that you assume so much about me and most of it is not accurate and only to support your point of view. Do some research and report back as to is rated the second worse president, then we’ll have a further discussion on the subject. |

Judged: 1 1 What research do you want me to do? Who is the second worst president? In whose eyes? Lincoln was absolutely hated in his day, but history paints him a hero. In 100 years who knows what they will think of GWB and BHO. I know what I think of both at the moment, and I've paid attention to what each has done during their administrations. I would be happy to tell you where I think both went wrong. As far as you go, all my opinions about you are directly from your own words here. If you don't like my opinion, maybe you should choose your words more carefully next time. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Assessment by historiansIn 2006, 744 professional historians surveyed by Siena College regarded Bush's presidency as follows: Great: 2%; Near Great: 5%; Average: 11%; Below Average: 24%; Failure: 58%.[362] Thomas Kelly, professor emeritus of American studies at Siena College, said that "In this case, current public opinion polls actually seem to cut the President more slack than the experts do."[362] Similar outcomes were retrieved by two informal surveys done by the History News Network in 2004[363] and 2008.[364] Bush was dismissive of the negative evaluations by historians, saying, "to assume that historians can figure out the effect of the Bush administration before the Bush administration has ended is just ... in my mind ... not an accurate reflection upon how history works,"[355] and "I read three histories of George Washington last year. The first President of the United States is still being analyzed by historians, which oughtta (sic) say to this president and future president:'Do what you think is right and eventually historians will figure out whether it made sense or not.'"[365] A 2010 Siena College poll of 238 Presidential scholars found that Bush was ranked 39th out of 43, with poor ratings in handling of the economy, communication, ability to compromise, foreign policy accomplishments and intelligence.[366] |

Judged: 2 2 2 Wow FR, that sounds really incriminating. I guess if the George Bush School for the Monetarily Gifted did a study that said Bill Clinton was the worst president of all time, you would believe that, despite your own opinions, and personal experiences? If you look for surveys to form your opinion, I'm sure you can find ones that say whatever you would like them to say. Again, I would be happy tell you what I personally think of each president, and the effects I have felt in my life. My actual opinion is probably nothing like you are assuming. An academic survey of "professional historians" doesn't hold much water for me. What about the 7% that thought Bush was great, or near great. How is there opinion so far from those of the other "experts"? Were they historians of paint chip recipes of the middle ages? Silly survey is silly. So.... Florida Retiree, do you credit the Republican Congress & Senate under Clinton for our country's success at that time, or not? |

Judged: 3 3 2 Siena College: A coeducational, independent, liberal arts college with a Franciscan and Catholic tradition founded in 1937. That Is A Riot! Did you quote a College with a rich history of Constitutional Scholars? Presidential History? Newp! You researched and quoted a study deftly compiled by LIBERAL ARTS STUDENTS!! 10 points for making me laugh out loud Retiree! Since the studies were done way back in 2006 & 2010, I wonder if we can visit McDonalds these students are all currently working at, so I can ask if they feel their study is still as relevant, and universally important as when they first published it! My fictitious "George Bush School for the Monetarily Gifted" would likely garner more clout & respect in academia than your Liberal Arts School does. Just when I thought you couldn't come up with any weaker argument to answer legitimate questions, you drop that bombshell on me. Thank You! Seriously Retiree, Thank You very much! :D |

Judged: 3 2 2 You are giving off a lot of hot air but when asked you could not give any research results at all, maybe you should enroll there to learn how to do research? HUH? |

Judged: 2 2 1 What do you want him to research? Opinion on a president? For what? He answered all your questions why don't you answer one of his? Jeesh, some people, do you read your own writing? |
|
|
Judged: 2 2 2 Yes, to determine what type of job the president did, it's clear that Bush and his Administration flunked but there are people that put a focus on the current president and try to blame him for the failures of the past. Need any more help? |

Judged: 3 2 1 You're a legend in your own mind. Laughable at best for the rest of us. |

Judged: 3 2 1 I could give two shytes what you think, it's quite obvious your brain is still in the process of maturing. I was commenting about all of you, with the exception of FR, who is the only adult posting on this thread. I fell for nothing, including your BS. Now go get a job and do something constructive during the day instead of spending it on an internet forum puffing your feathers. |
