Woman serving shoplifting sentence dies at Framingham prison
#1 Dec 20, 2009
A very sad situation where pleading guilty to shoplifting charges amounted to a full year served in prison, bad enough. Many violent offenders serve far less time, if any; this is compounded in that now it has become a de-facto death sentence. When we imprison someone against their will, we are responsible for what happens to them. This story is very much incomplete and in fairness to all and the principles we aspire to needs to be followed up in depth.

The prison has not released the truth to the newspaper. She was not only sentenced for shoplifting. There was negligence on the part of the facility which will all come out soon. The entire family and step family is having a very difficult time dealing with this matter. There is an innocent fifteen year old son with severe heart problems. Therefore, it would be kind and spirited if any and all comments on this topic were stopped. The family is having a full investigation done, the truth will be heard when all the tests are done and it will end up in the newspapers and court. Until then, can we omit this topic for the sake of a sick innocent child? Would that be asking too much? This happened December 3rd and it is amazing that it took 17 days to hit these sites. Think about it, let this site go for now.
