How about staying home with them for a few years instead? There are some sacrifices to be made when you have an infant. If you want to continue your old lifestyle, don't have kids.

i personally as a mother of an infant think its a GREAT idea...eventhough the child may not watch the movie, it gets mom out of the house to do something she wants to do...all of the other people in the theatre at that time have children with them too..so if the baby cries its nothing none of the other moms arent used to...its a great way for stay at home moms to feel connected.

Excellent idea. However ...

1) Are the little tykes admitted free or are they charged full price for napping through the performance?

2) Please, please, please tell me that one MUST be accompanied with a child to attend the 10am showings.

Seriously? A few hours at a movie, with other parents and kids, won't hurt anybody. Sacrifices include solid sleep at night, hot dinners, reading a good book that doesn't feature bright colors and small words. Seeing a movies at 10 am during a weekday in the same category? Dude, lighten up.
