Odessa Man Killed on Oil Rig

THIS MAN WAS MY COUSIN-IN-LAW. HE'S NOT GONNA GET TO BE A FATHER TO HIS YOUNG CHILDREN NOW BECAUSE HE HAD A SCREWED UP BOSS MAN..I HOPE THIS OIL COMPANY GETS SUIED. IT IS SO UN-FAIR FOR ALL OF HIS FAMILY TO HAVE TO LIVE WITH OUT HIM NOW BECAUSE SOMEONE DIDNT DO THEIR JOB.

I was just wondering what the out come of this story is, my husband was just offered a job out there in odessa we live in CA, how danderous is oil drilling, and what went wrong in this case?

I'v lost many friends and family to the oil feildyou gotta think there might be ten of twenty guys on a work site and if ONE person screws up there is NO telling who will get hurt or how MANY injuries there will be

i work in the oil field in oklahoma , and is very dangerous ,mostly is the operator responsability because a little mistake can cause a death, but there is a lot of ways to get hurt on a rig .must be alert at all times

if one of the hands make a mistake , he can hurt the others , if drilling is in procces anything can happen

oil riggin is easy i pay all my bills with it

My son died on October 15, 2007 on an Oklahoma oil rig. His death was due to malfunction of machinery. My prayers go out to all families who have lost their loved ones for the sake of this country's dependency on oil.

ive lost a brother in law this year april 12 will be 2 years and his crew are pointing fingers at each other it could had been the operator and also the safety guy who was suppose to check all the cables but didnt do his job right otherwise my brother in law would be here but bronco drilling says its not there fault also dont let the drug heads operate heavy machinery

Death is a terrible thing to happen to anyone. Especially when there is some doubt about who and what are at fault. I am a drilling consultant and have been since 1980. If it has happened, I have seen it. Shortcuts and stupidity cause most accidents. The last accident that happened on one of my rigs was jerking off a derrickmans big toe. Policy is not always adhered too. I have created a website www.oilfieldtrash.com to give a better insight to the right way to do things.
