"Opie" pointed his finger at my wife, calling her a liar and making her cry...along with Darrell Bell using his brutness in showing how big of a man he was in the good ole Rhea County styled fashion, by bulldogging on someone weaker, especially the woman of a person once called "friend"
If this is what really happened then you should be mad at your husband for not taking that finger and shoving it up his ^%$.They would have taken me to jail if that happened to my wife. If this really happened the way you say it did then shame on your husband.He had the chance to defend your honor.I would like to know the truth for there are two sides to every story.Did this really happen the way you say and your husband is a coward or is there more to the story?

Of course there is more to the story but people were wondering why the Dentons have such a bad opinion of certain people in Dayton I have been trying to help the Dentons get their side of the story out, but here on Topix it seems all people wish to do is hurtfully criticize, and childishly call names. I would not shame my husband in this sitatuion nor do I think you would.
Imagine yourself, for a moment, if you can possibly do as I suggested earlier and "put yourself in someone else's shoes. Imagine yourself standing in the police station lobby upon the invitation of the police to come down there on business,(no not to be booked in for a crime) while standing there, during small talk snide remarks are passed back and forth, not just the Dentons, but the police officers begin the snide remarks. Then imagine yourself politely saying to the police officer that you do not like the way things are being handled and no one is helping you. Then imagine yourself being abruptly walked upon with an officer inches from your face (and let me remind you, he was not being talked rudely to, or disrespected) and suddenly you have this officer in your face telling you that you are going to jail if you do not get out of the police station. You have done nothing at this point but ask a question. You were not unruly and you simply came down there upon their invitation to pick up some paperwork. You are about to go to jail for asking a question, period. Does you husband then jump into a verbal argument and go to jail for you? Do you both risk going to jail? What charges? Again, the reason I criticize the authority in Datyon, becuase they simply do not need a reason. It is your word against theirs. Or do you both leave quietly and go to the council to report the incident, where once again, they are not helped? As I said earlier, the Dentons have done nothing wrong but try to protect their rights, which the police did not help, but also, were in the process of making a bad situation even worse for the Dentons. So I do not say shame on either of the Dentons. I say shame on those for passing judgment on them for not even knowing how it feels to go through such an ordeal. Thanks for your comments. At least your being a little more open minded now and not so readily eager to just criticize, make fun of, or othewise slam the Dentons. It is of pulic record at city hall the document of Mrs. Denton's account that day. Free for anyone who really gives a damn to check out.

I do not see why asking a simple question would set someone off so bad. If that happened I still believe I would have showed my booty even though my booty would have landed me in jail. Did you go to Sheriff Neal for help? I know there are some good officers in Dayton and maybe you talked to the wrong ones. I also dont believe you should throw rocks when you live in a glass house and I think that happens in your writings.Thats my opinion.

Good Grief Truth Uncovered,,, I just don't know what it is you expect. You asked for the story and I told you. Your question or comment did not set me off. I simply tried to answer your question. I believe to any question you address to me, in your eyes, I will not have the right one. I just don't know what you mean when you directly imply to me about the glass house and throwing stones. I have never once claimed to be a saint. I simply have put some things out there truthfully and though the truth hurts often, because we all make mistakes. I'm a tough woman. I can state my opinions and back them up with legitimacy. I do not tolerate unkind words that are not deserved and I also have empathy for those who are done wrong. I do have to say every bit of this thread is off topic. It really saddens me that what was to be a discussion has turned into a 3 ring circus. I would assume that all of you are adults but yet you all act like children. Did your mommy set up your topix.com account for you? Yes, it is off topic. What you simply have done is added your criticism. At least Truth Uncovered and I were engaging in a dialogue that was on topic. You simply have posted a comment of criticism and judgment. You did not address the topic at hand at all. Simply put, you just posted your comment as the rest of us.
