I don't know about any one else, but My opinion is that Meigs should have their Christmas Parade one 21 of December and Not on the 4th it seems to early in the month for it.

I think the counties close together should work together with parade dates. The Cleveland parade is also on the 4th, same time as Decatur parade. And now Decatur is having there's at night too.

It is early, but then its always been early. They shouldn't worry about having it on the same days as other counties because people only live in one or the other.

As for the selection, I like having it on the forth. Closer to Christmas, I'm more apt to need to get through town for shopping or to visit with family. Makes more sense to pick a time with less traffic.

Ya, but not everyone you are related to or friends with live in the same county as you, or I. Some people have children, grandchildren and family friends that may be in another area parade and you just might want to go see them. NOT everyone that lives in Decatur stays in Decatur. It's nice to go and enjoy other parades.

You bunch of cry baby's. You people can't be happy when or where we have it. Its people like you all that make me sick. If we gave you free Steak and Lobster you would find some reason to complain about it.

The parade was really nice this year. Lots of nice floats, and all the lighs made all the floats pretty. Does anyone know which floats won first, second and third place prizes. Would have been hard to choose.

I feel that the parade snould be in the day time. An that the 4-wheelers are aloud back in it. And the thing about haveing to have lis. to drive a 4-wheeler in it is bull crap.

For one thing I agree with checking with our neighboring counties and comunities and work around each other, the children in the organizations at the school like the FFA work hard on their floats, and should be able to show them at as many parades as possible. And pertaining to the 4-wheelers, lack of parental supervision is the cause for that, last year kids where tearing up the grave yard on them, and the school ball fields. So yes I believe they should have a liscence, so if citations need written, they can be. Also it is a law that no on under 16 should be on a 4-wheeler, there is a sticker pasted on every 4 wheeler. Yourr not to be on the rode with one without a liscence.

last year decatur about messed themselves up by not allowing moterized vehicals in the parade ,
stop trying to be like dayton , their parade has really went down since they have started this, everyone goes to cleveland or chattanooga.
also let the 4 wheelers back in

I look for the county leader to cut the parade out, because they don't make any money off it.

The county has nothing to do with it. Can you not read. You people cry like a 6 day old baby. Whine whine whine. Get a life. Who's gonna drive a float in a Cleveland parade anyway. The reason candy can't be thrown is because our society has become so missed up if they throw candy and hits you, you will sue them. Some of the 4 wheeler riders ruined it for everyone. Don't blame the city. Truth be known its your fault because it probably was your kid tearing up the ball fields and the cemetery. It had to be done because if it was you child and they got hurt tearing up either one and got hurt YOU would sue the city. So think about the outcome before you start complaining. Have a wonderful day.

lol your name says it all how bout we all learn to spell before picking a name like "dealing with idiots" it shames me that I am affiliated with such ignorance in this county since I am a native of this community and my family has lived here over 100yrs I think I know how this town is and this persons lack of education is the county's fault they should concentrate on educating you better than worrying about a silly parade and the candy being thrown out it costs tax dollars to pick that unwanted trash up go by your own self a bag and stop wasting our money shall we ie; communities. At its license don't be lazy pull it out of your wallet and look at it. And pasted=posted.
