Harry, I should have stuck with my earlier judgment - that it would be more productive to argue with a tree stump. You have nothing to say - every single thing that you think is flatly incorrect and/or based on not understanding how the whole thing works. The most egregious is right where we started and where you most recently ended: "Salaries and other forms of compensation cannot continue to rise at the rates that drive tuition to levels that impoverish students or their parents. Which is the same point I made in my first post. No confusion here Hmmmmm." RISING SALARIES ARE NOT THE CAUSE OF INCREASING TUITION! Are you stupid or a troll? Go back to F ing 1st grade. Learn how to count again and get reminded about what the numbers mean. Then look at f 'ing numbers rather than sticking religiously to your own common sense construction of the world. I'll say it again - once you look at actual changes in average faculty salaries over time the only way you can put faculty salaries at the root of the rising costs at universities is TO MAKE IT UP. STOP MAKING S- IT UP. How is that for some condescension? Hmmmmm?

For the record, I am not employed by UVA nor do I have any formal connection with it. I am in this just b/c I am fed up as hell at ignorant, populist, ill-informed b s funneled toward public education and public educators.

I am done with you. Think what you want. Ignorant as it may be.

Translation: I don't have anything to refute your posts so I am just going to call you names and go and think a while and see if I can come up with something interesting to say.
