Please don't allow him to live then go to jail, prison and be on death row for twenty plus years wasting tax payers money. Disconnect him from any life support that's he on at Grady Hospital and let him die, afterall he took the life of his child. If he/people want to kill themselves then so be it but stop taking the life of innocent children.

I agree that dath is too good for him. However, why not have him in jail for the rest of his life, have him on some type of a work program ( if one exists ) and award his salary to the mother for psychiatic help that she will probably need now.

It would cost the tax payers more to keep him in jail than the financial value gained from anywork he would do in jail. It would still be a netloss to taxpayers. It costs almost $3000 per month to house an inmate. Any unskilled work he could do would be worth no more than a $1000 a month. I like your idea though. Make them work 12 hour days to repay society, but they simply have no value.

Yep...death is too good for him. I agree with Donna - make him work and all the money go to the mother. I can't imagine what she must be going through.

That's exactly why I left my husband a few days after our daughter was born. She would be the one thing that he could use to really hurt me if we got into another bad fight.

I totally agree. I can't even imagine what the poor mom is going through.

Murder your own child? Send him to prison. They love child killers.

Why couldn't he just kill himself? Why bring the baby into it?

This is sick! Who could do this to a child? Or to anyone!

Let him shoot himself again and just maybe he can end it all. But a 1year-old child--he is one sick SOB!!!

I could not imagine ever doing such a thing to MY child. To pull the gun out and then point it at the baby (who had no idea what was happening) and pull the trigger. The Mother should've shot him after he shot himself...multiple times! He should still be getting shot. I wish someone would go to Grady and take care of the unfinished business. Totally disgusting!!!

Kudos to the professionals at Grady who are able to detach personal feelings, in order to take care of this piece of trash. They are better than I am. I would have attended to him initially, but once I found out what he had done I would have pushed him to the side next to the trash can and stood guard, daring anyone to tend to him! But then with the government protection that he is "afforded," if he were to survive he would probably sue me and Grady for millions of dollars.

He needs to die and he needs to die fast!

Could it be that this man is so sick himself that he had no understanding of how awful life would be if he failed to die? I think he must have been very desperate to do this. I hate that the child died. Let's hope he survives to regret his killing his child. Maybe he can be rehabbed, and become a productive society member.

If he does go on some sort of work program and earns say $.17 cents and hour, just how far do you think that will go in supporting her!

I think they should keep him on life support until he is well and then go to jail. Trust me ... he won't last long in the clink. The guys that are in there for murder can not stand people that do things to innocent children ... their philosophy is take it out on someone your own size ... and they will do just that.

What do they have to lose? They are in jail for life anyway!

I may be wrong, but I watched a 2020 program that said the inmates who work in the jail get about .17 cents and hour to put in their "bank account". That's what I get for watching television. What point am I missing?

I find it so disturbing that so many people are killing innocent babies, most especially their OWN children. It is so sad to hear about this story, much less the many stories that have surfaced just recently (i.e. the man from Columbus who shot his 3 babies and then himself). If these people want to take their own lives, then leave the children out of the mix. They are innocent and deserve to live. It just breaks my heart - I can't even bear to watch the news anymore.
