We may have to come to ter with reality in America and start issuing firearms to all government employees. They should also be trained specifically to respond to the kinds of situations that could arise in their particular setting. Is this suggestion over the top? If such a plan had already been in place even the Columbine shootings would likely have been reduced considerably. As we merge our populations and our ideas move a the speed of light (while being repeated for eternity), we are pushing human range. While most of the mass shootings have demonstrated a specific mental or psychotic element, a level-headed reaction by an armed teacher could have ended the progression of death. But this is not an entirely modern phenomenon either. Organized terrorists have attacked schools for centuries because they are soft, psychological targets. Defense is the only practical strategy. A wall/fence is only 1 facet of an adequate defense plan. There has to be a substantial 1-on-1 plan.

Has anyone thought about the mass killings by mental degenerates started about the time the closing of the large state run mental facilities, and the state relying on drugs as a cheap alternative to place them back into our society?

Today's Full Moon will have a powerful impact on your health during the next few months. Maybe this is the spur you need to inspire you to take better care of yourself, such as improving your diet, getting more exercise or finally consulting the doctor about something that's worrying you. It will also be the end of a chapter connected with your work, but don't fret because this ending will lead on to a new beginning.
