Am I crazy or is it the defense attorneys. According to them there is no one in prison who is guilty. They always speak on behalf of their clients as if they were an eyewitness to their client's crimes. They have no idea what happened anymore than I do. Do these guys always believe the lies their clients tell them. I wonder what would happen if all the defense attorneys got everybody off. This society would be more violent than it is. I am a firm believer in the proposition that if prosecutors got paid a million dollars a year and defense atorneys made what prosecutors made, there would be no defense attorneys. The same lawyer that said his client did not commit the crime would be prosecuting him or her to the fullest extent of the law.

You can tell when someone has killed another just by watching his or her reactions to the verdict. Scott Davis stood and took it with no emotion and a well rehearsed statement to the court afterwords. After 10 years living with what he did,it had to be a sort of comfort to him to put this atrocity behind him.Now the healing process can begin for David Collins family, who waited so long for this. They also were victims.

Forgive my mispelling of Mr. Coffin in the previous post. I would like to add one more thing. If this so called crazed third person got up close and personal to Mr.Coffin to kill him with a bullet to the head, then why did he not kill Davis in the same manner. This third person as told by Davis, said he had a gun to his head, so why spray him with mace? Where's the bullet that should be lodged into his house? It just does'nt add up.Great work by the Atlanta police dept.in not giving up on this case.

Norm,

I am with you all the way. I watched the parts of the trial that were on CourtTV this past week, and everytime the camera went to Scott Davis, I just saw guilt in his face.

I also know Scott's Father. I remember all too well when all of this occured. One thing I found interesting when watching, he said his son was put on medication, however, when all of this happened, I specifically asked Dr. Davis if they put his son on medication, and he answered me with, "No. He doesn't want to be on medication and doesn't need it." Maybe that means nothing at all, however, it is something that stood out to me.

I do believe Scott is right where he belongs.....no, I take that back. I am a firm believer in the death penalty....an eye for an eye!

For the record - anyone who knew Scott Davis growing up or at Lovett knows he is guilty.

He always demonstrated a propensity to extreme behavior to get the result the wanted. This is just another example.

I worked with Megan when this all happened and I was in her office when Scott called her over and over again just after it happened.
I remember how hard it was on her then and how life interuping it must be now.
I think he is very guilty and I thought so then.
He had a father that was very well connected with the police department and would of course try and protect his son.
The whole thing is very sad.

I honestly disagree with every thing you have written. It is unclear, ambiguous and just down-right absurd.

I don't believe they proved that he did it. There were many people saying things that contradicted Megan and each other, also there was an extreme lack of forensic evidence to persuade me of guilt. I feel if he did do it that it would be considered the perfect murder and everyone knows that there is no such thing!

Everyone in Buckhead who knew Scott growing up and during the breakup of his marriage - knew that he was a man with deep psychological issues. Megan was not the first woman he had stalked. The evidence proves what we all suspected - that Scott and only Scott killed Davis Coffin.

I knew Scott growing up at Lovett but so what? How often do you hear that a person who was normal did something terrible and vice versa? Just because you think someone has a psychological problem does not make them guilty. I don't care how demented they act, weird stuff they say, what drugs they are on, if they show emotion, etc... this is all circumstantial.

The only thing that matters is the hard evidence and in this case there was scant. It must be very comfortable for you people to sit back dismissively and come up with your BS for why he is guilty. Maybe you feel safer to have someone put in jail forever just to mitigate any risk since it doesn't cost you anything; shame on you all.

Ok, the PR campaign from Davis' friends and family is getting old.

It's funny how every perp's family member will claim there wasn't enough evidence at trial. Funny, there was enough for 12 impartial people to convict! I remember seeing the mother of one of the "YouTube" bandits on the news. They had VIDEO from the victims house of her son burglarizing a house. It was excellent quality video and her son, with his very distinct dreads, could VERY EASILY be seen in the video. Oh, AND Mr. Dreads also had many of the stolen items in his bedroom when he was arrested. Momma stormed out of the court room proclaiming her son was innocent and this was a case of "mistaken identity!"

Let's not forget Momma from a couple of days ago when her son was arrested for pulling a gun on Atlanta cops. She said, "Well they are CLAIMING he had a gun." Too bad Momma didn't check with her son's attorney, who WE are no doubt paying for, who ADMITTED her client had a gun!!

If Scott Davis is innocent, then why would he drug Gayle Abramson and then do sexy things with her?

The reported attack on Davis is so problematic as to be totally believable. Fire on porch? Gun shots returned with Scott's shotgun blast at attacker whose bullets cannot be found? Is that what happened?

If I'm at home and someone starts a fire on my porch, I'll go for my shotgun. Then I'll walk outside to see what is going to burn my house down.

Somebody sprays me in the face. I'm blinded for a few moments. He runs turns and fires at me. I fire back.

But wait. His gun has no bullets. Only blanks.

I tell my story to the police. They can't believe it. No bullets.

My alibi is shot to hell for lack of bullets.

Slick.

Norm,

My God. You're a wizard. You can tell that Scott is guilty just by looking at his response to the verdict?

That's comforting for all those families whose kin were sent to jail on botched DNA evidence and who people like you put out of sight and out of mind for an expression on their guilty faces.

St Biggers from Australia....can you tell us the connection between Buckhead and Australia? What are the ties?

How did Mrs. Bruton come to have the connections to Australia? By marriage? Previously?

I'm sorry but this should have never gone to trial. This bullshit of arresting and convicting anyone on anything but physical evidence is so WRONG. The testimony of this cheating slut/whore is unbelievable. I wished I knew of some evidence that could set free this victim of this injustice. If anything Megan should be locked up because I have no doubt that whatever really happened happened because of her deceitful ways. She is pure evil.

I worked with Scott at Arthur Andersen in the mid 1990's. In a corporation filled with a lot of arrogant douche bags, he actually seemed down to earth and a nice, friendly guy.

Of course that doesn't mean he isn't capable of murder.........but it was certainly shocking to find out what he was accused of.
