Korean War vet James O. Baxley, 79, helped vets to the end
Even when he started having a hard time remembering names, James O. Baxley was still a fixture in the halls of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Decatur, stopping to shake the hands of nearly every young soldier or Marine he passed who was just back from Afghanistan or Iraq.

I knew Mr. Baxley for most of 20 years, first as his Primary Care Provider and later as a frequent acquaintance in the halls of Atlanta VAMC. We had a warm and caring relationship for all of that time and I will miss him greatly. Here's to you, true and faithful veteran and friend to all who met you.
