One of the most famous speeches made by Martin Luther King, Jr., was the one popularly known as the 'I Have a Dream' speech.
Martin Luther King, Jr., was one of the most important leaders of the civil rights movement in America, who fought against the policy of segregation that existed in the country. By profession, he was a Baptist minister, which was one of the few avenues black people had at that time for taking up a leadership role.
While he gave many speeches in his life, the 'I Have a Dream' Martin Luther King speech has been hailed as one of the most moving, evocative, and momentous speeches made in the history of not only America, but of the world. He delivered it from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, on the 28th of August, 1963, during the famous March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
In his speech, Martin Luther King spoke resonantly about his hopes of a future where African Americans, and all people of all other ethnicities that were discriminated against, would break the shackles of inequality and injustice, and coexist with each other along with the whites in harmony and as equals. Through his speech, Martin Luther King informed, inspired, and lifted not only the 200,000 to 400,000 supporters of the civil rights movement gathered there, but the world at large. It was addressed to the generations of that time as well as to the future generations to come.
Martin Luther King began his speech by saying: "I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation."
He then went on to allude to the Gettysburg address made by Abraham Lincoln by saying: "Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity."
Then he described the social conditions that STILL existed in America: "But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition."
Martin Luther King then invoked the words of the American Constitution and the Declaration of Independence which guaranteed equal rights to ALL the citizens of the nation, regardless of the color of their skin: "In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which EVERY American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
He went on to address our struggles in a non-violent fashion. Living beyond his dream it seems to me, a very hard thing to do if not impossible. Hatred meets with hatred and we lose patience trying to love those who are hell bent on the status quo.
We see the weariness in the eyes of our President. The lions are out of their cages and snap at him viciously at every opportunity. We all witness his strength and how in spite of their snarls he keeps the cool Martin spoke of... to be fair...upright...non-violent but WE...we the critical mass,grow increasingly weary..yes the "natives" are restless. "I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow..." Time is running out. We must envoke CHANGE NOW!

There was a time when the majority of blacks wanted real equality and to be a part of the American experience-which they fought hard to get..........fast forward to 2013..........

The dream has died. Nearly half of blacks on welfare, 70 percent born out of wedlock and a sickening sense of entitlement...The dream is dead for sure.

We need a change alright, we need to get back to what made this country what it is-all of this drivel coming out of the oval office is a joke as is the man who presides over it. May God help us all.

And that knowing, has awaken us from the "Dream" and revealed the true, fixed, stuborne, ignorance of an idea that died along time ago. White Supremacy! Yes...you are right. We need change all right and we made it happen. but hold on...the best is yet to come. You are indeed calling on the right one for help now. God is the ONLY one that can help you but He already told you what to do, and you refuse. So who you gonna call on now?

MLK was also told what to do and used by Zionist communist agitators bent on causing racial division in the United States in their typical modus operandi of "divide and conquer." The same Ziocommies that USED King in the so-called "civil rights movement" could care less about King or Blacks for that matter and just looked at them as USEFUL IDIOTS. The so-called "civil rights movement" wasn't at all about equality or pro-Black, what it was meant to be was anti-White. King was instructed by Jews, just as the NAACP was founded and ran by Jews for years.

From my "recollections" no one needed to persuade people of color to be "Anti-White." Seems white folk accomplished that feat single handedly being the loving, just, self proclaimed superior aliens they are. Why those lovely "cross burnings", "lynchings", "rapes", and unsolved murders were just peachy. I'm sure they were loved by all those unfortunate victims.

There could have been anywhere between 0-10 Black females who were raped by White males in the United States in the year 2005. Fact number TWO. I believe I've EXPOSED the LYNCHING MYTH to your ignorant arse before but here it goes AGAIN. There have been less than 5,000 lynchings in the ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. Of that 5,000, Blacks were "victims" of lynching a little over 3,000 times. So while Blacks made up the majority of people being lynched it still isn't some large number. Compare the number 3,000 plus change for the ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES to 37,460 for just ONE SINGLE YEAR. And as I've said before many of not nearly all of those Blacks were perpetrators of heinous crimes like rape and murder and surely weren't innocent "victims." Now how many of those 37,460 White women who were raped in ONE SINGLE YEAR by Black males were guilty of heinous crimes?
