No longer a heartbroken teenager, Louise Egan Brunstad is now in prison, serving time because she killed a 30-year-old mother almost five years ago in a failed attempt to kill herself by slamming into an on-coming car.

Can't believe that the justice system is so screwed up here that this girl only gets three years in prison for killing another individual on purpose. She must come from a family with money. That's the only way you ever get out of something like that, if your family has money or influence. Our justice system is so screwed up. This girl should spend the rest of her life in prison. God forgive those that let her off so easy.

This is the type of fatuous justice found around Atlanta, and people wonder why Atlanta has such a high crime rate. The criminals are not worried about receiving anything but probation and a few weeks in jail. Never forget what that jury gave Nichols for killing a judge and a cop.

Ok, so I'd just like to say. She didn't kill the lady on purpose. She got into a wreck on accident.

You're wrong on that one. She claims she was trying to commit suicide by slamming into another car. Of course, she had a seat belt on, so I don't know how that makes any sense. She was a spoiled little brat, who probably never heard the word no. Let's not forget that she seriously injured a little girl in that same car. I think the little girl was 6, and has permanent eye damage. She also took away a mother from 3 children, one of which was probably too young to even remember her mother. One doesn't threaten to kill themselves by driving head on into another car without suffering the consequence of what happens if you fail in killing yourself. She hit the car on purpose, so therefore, she killed that lady on purpose. Must be nice to have daddy save you from what you really deserve. I think she should have to support those children until they are 18, to remind her of her stupidity every day, and because she took away the other bread winner from that household.
