The Huntsville forensic lab did an analysis of the DNA profile found in the epithelial cells (skin cells) found under Karen Tipton's nails. The results of the DNA test have never been revealed. It was obviously not Daniel Moore's DNA, or we would have heard about it from the prosecution. This info has been withheld since 1999, when the test was done. It reveals the identity of the last person to have any physical contact with Karen Tipton, or, in other words, her murderer. The truth is out there. I'm sure that this TV show didn't uncover it. Either they don't know how to get to truth or they don't care.

Well, I was right. This was an absolutely terrible job on the part of 4 hours. In my opinion, Erin Moriarty is none too bright. She omitted all of the argument for the defense--the long list of missing items, and the numerous affairs that Karen Tipton had engaged in. This was really about David Tipton, and Moriarty's attempt to rehabilitate his image on camera. The case is not about Tipton's bad press. It is about an unsolved murder.

I feel really sorry for Daniel's mom. 10 years of not knowing what is going to happen to your son. If it were me it would have killed me watching my child go through what Daniel went through. I do feel sorry for Karen's children. No child should have to grow up with out both of there parents. I do find it hard to feel sorry for the husband. I think that he's the one who killed her

Until prosecutors who act in a manner such as the Asst. State Atty. are prosecuted and disbarred for their perjury and withholding of evidence, Situations like these will continue to occur.
The victims will rightfully and deservedly be paid large settlements.
These payments will of course come from you and me.
If you caused your company to pay out millions, you would be fired. period. Why does this guy still have a job? Since he still does, why does his boss still have a job? Hint: his boss is elected.

I saw the 48 Hour show and learn nothing more than what was already disclosed previously. I was a waste of time and broadcast time. There are still a lot of questions left unanswered; what happened to the other witnesses?; what happened to the other collected evidence?; why were the police so intent on persecuting Moore?; why were the other leads not persued?; who and why the cover-up? Waste of time and money!!!!

I think they need to (The cops on this case)reinvestigate the murder and, focus their attention on other potential suspects.

According to the testimony that came out in the third trial, Karen Tipton was assaulted with the fireplace poker that had been used earlier to hit her in the head. Her torture and murder are too gruesome to imagine. But the killer didn't leave sperm behind. I don't know why there weren't any fingerprints left on the fireplace poker, if the killer was someone other than the husband. Always possible that there were prints on the poker and they were wiped off by the helpful police, or the evidence was supressed. I am convinced that the evidence necessary to convict someone of this murder has been destroyed.
