Most doubt that $4.00 per gallon gasoline will do the trick. If the public are to become demoralized enough to re-elect Obama gas prices may need to reach $8.00 per gallon.

Huffington Post says that the Libyan War will cost Americans $346 Million every six days once we take back control from NATO. If Obama directs a land invasion the sky is the limit.

How sad for our children. How sad for us all.

The ottoman's have been lopping off each others heads for the last thousand years. Ghadaffi is right. It's a clan war, not a civil war.
A typical ottoman wouldn't know a "bill of rights" if it bit him on the dick. Life is extremely cheap there. Their value system is not our value system, and the only way to change that is with nukes.
Unless you're delivering nukes, stay out of the ottoman empire. It's not our fight.
This NAFTA world order, and the mass mixing of cultures and races that are sometimes 500 years apart in progress is the worst, pointless, and long-term damaging mix since the mongols sacked Rome.

With all the rhetoric about Bush getting us involved in the Middle East and claiming he did it for oil; think about the following:

Afghanistan HAS no oil.

Iraq was over ego (Hussein thumbing his nose at a Texas - you all should know; you don't EVER do that!). It wasn't over oil. Where the oil fields are; we aren't. We're in the central part of the country; which is dry.

Now Libya.

With all the 'Civil' Wars going on in the Mid-East - Egypt, Yemen, Syria's getting hot, couple of others - the only one WE get involved with is in Libya. For 'humanitarian' reasons.

And what is the difference between Libya's humanitarian issues and those of the others I've named?

None.

Except those others don't have oil.

Libya does.

Next time a Democrat claims that Bush invaded the Middle East over oil - counter with this. All those nations had humanitarian issues with their governments and they were all the same in this regard.

But only Libya had oil; so only Libya got the U.S. and Nato to attack.

Gotta love the Hypocracy of those Socialists in power, right?

Pick, choose, manipulate, lie.

And there WILL be a ground war. Obama will figure out a way to make it seem inevitable.

Watch and see.

I finally resigned from the DemParty.
The dishonesty and unpatriotic tripe was just too much for me to stand any longer. Soon only greedy welfare types and greedy pub emp union types will be all that remains of the Party. Too bad.

When gas prices went up in 2008, you could tell more car owners were using the Blue Line because the parking garage filled up early every morning. That hasn't happened this time around for some reason. Not yet, anyway.

Long Beach was a much nicer City in 2008. More low income housing attracted more uncivilized, unparented Trash and now the Blue Line is unfit.

The good news is that the more disgusting the City becomes the more apt the City and State democrats are to be re-elected.
But, of course, that was the whole point of building all of the new low income housing in Long Beach. DUH! Low lifes always vote for anything with a D beside it's name on a Ballot.

Soon the Blue Line will be a life line.

We get what we deserve and we voted to be a ghetto, gang and illegal infested, bankrupt shell of a City.

These are the best of times. Just wait til the unaccomplished, ego maniacal, Suja Lowenthal becomes MAYOR.

When Long Beach Democrats deteriorated to the point where Laura Richardson was deemed "the best and brightest" Long Beach Democrats had to offer, the die was cast.

Soon you will be fighting to get aboard the Blue Line. It will be safer to go through Watts and Compton than to stay in Long Beach.

The Unions made the clear choice to install the politicians who couldn't manage a ice cream cart. Stick a fork in us cause we are DONE.

Yep. You can blame that fool Obama for getting us into yet another idiotic Arab war! Now they say that the rebels cannot defeat Gadaffi on their own in a ground war, so they now expect a stalemate that could go on for an "unknown" length of time... possibly even YEARS!!!

And, unlike with Bush though his critics will swear otherwise, THIS war IS over oil!! Let's face it - there were 'humanitarian' issues in Egypt - Obama did nothing. Yemen - Obama did nothing. Libya - Obama sends in planes to destroy Gadaffi's Air capabilities and sets up a 'No-Fly Zone'.
Egypt and Yemen aren't oil producing nations. Libya is.
Regarding Bush - our main troop concentration is in Central Iraq - there's NO OIL in Central Iraq; at least not enough to fight over. The bulk of the oil is in the northern and southern sections of the country.
Afghanistan has no oil what-so-ever.
Afghanistan was retaliation for 9-11; that's where Bin Laden was supposed to be hiding; sheltered by the Taliban.
Iraq was the result of a pissed-off Texan (bad excuse for going to war, but that's a Texan for ya).
It wasn't oil.
We don't go to war for oil. If we did; we had an EXCELLENT excuse in 1979 to invade Iran - remember the hostage crisis? The overthrow of the U.S. Embassy.
Iran's got LOTS of oil.
We had the right to invade Iran with or without oil. Check out any diplomatic agreement. All of them state that an embassy is considered the 'sovereign soil' of the country occupying that acreage. All nations in the U.N. signed on to that. The U.S. Embassy in Teheran might as well have been in Los Angeles, Miami, Houston. It's considered U.S. Soil by treaty (which is ratified periodically; meaning that the diplomats CAN be 'Deported' and the embassy closed and returned to the host nation).
But an overthrow? That's an act of war - also specified in the treaty.
We didn't go to war.
Why? Why not? The Arab Oil Embargo of the mid-'70's was still very fresh in our minds. Conquest of Iran would have meant no more oil issues.
EVER!
We are NOT a nation of conquers. If we were; Japan would have been the 49th state; not Hawaii. We'd own most of Europe from Germany / Austria east to the Russian border and throw in Italy for good measure.
And we'd have Iran as our 52nd state.
We don't.
We don't go to war for oil.
At least, until Obama.
Now we do.
Obama's agenda?
"'Yes We Can!' do what we want; regardless of what we said we'd do.
So long as we're Socialist Democrats."
Socialist Democrats answer to NOBODY!
I wonder; more than two years in.....
How's that 'Hope And Change' working for those who were suckered in?
I hope Oafrah can sleep at night.
Wait.....
The racist talk-show queen voted for color. Substance is a non-issue.
She sleeps fine.
The rest of us are having the nightmares.

Market pros say that Oil will be $125 to $140 per barrel by late Fall 2011. This could increase gas to 8.00 per gallon in California which should increase Obama's chances for winning in 2012.

I support public transportation and ride it whenever I can.

I wish there were some way to keep the freaks who fight public transportation off of it as gas prices go up.

Those who don't support mass transportation should be barred from anything above a bike. We must all abandon free choice as we embrace Obama's Orwellian march to uniformity and conformity.
