What do you think about the city of Dearborn Heights being sued.

I saw in the Press and Guide that the city of Dearborn Heights is being sued by a former employee. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. Looks like the tax payer's may be stuck with the bill for the mess that the Mayor is making. If what I read is true sounds to me like we are going to have a mess on our hands.

That has been the talk of the town since it came out in the New paper the other day. I think the mayor has a big problem on his hands, and we are going to pay for it. Did you guys see him at the city council meeting how dumb he looked.

The City of Dearborn Heights has gone to hell. The mayor is worthless. He allows his comptroller, Don Barrow and the City Attorney Gary Miotke to run the city. BIG mistake. Barrow is a couple fries short of a happy meal and Miotke thinks he's Fieger. They are corrupt and the city council goes right along like little puppets on a string with them. They all need to be investigated. I'm positive a lot of skeletons will be found in those closets, and not all legal. It use to be a nice city. We now lovingly call it "Podunk" Michigan.

the mayor had screwed up so much that he gotta go . we need to get a new mayor who will focus on the city and its residents and get the job done. enough is enough , we work hard for our tax money and mr paletko is wasting it.

All the people in Dearborn Heights had the opportunity to vote for a write in candidate Mr.P, why didn't you all get out and vote? he had big hopes for DH. It seems there could have been a new Mayor!! Look what DH is stuck with what a shame, recall the mayor!!!

Yes we did Shocked, and I did vote for the write in candidate, I think what is going on in our city is very disturbing, I watch the council meetings, and find it shocking what is going on. I hope that things will change, and that our council will keep thinking about us out here. As for our State Rep his wife works for the city, so no big surprise there pucker up and you know what.

I have a feeling that HJ was fired for a reason. Probably multiple reasons. A mayor does not let one of his own appointees go over an HR argument.

Oh you would be surprised. The mayor thinks he's king! He does what ever he wants, when ever he wants!! I've seen it personally. I wouldn't be surprised to see alot more law suits against the City of Dearborn Heights for wrong doing. Stay tuned!

Evaluation of a public official's strengths and weaknesses are always fair game. But I think your attacks are more ad-hominem than is really warranted.

The mayor has done alot of good for this city. I think you are giving him no credit. If HJ was fired I am sure it was for a good reason.

He may have done good for this city, but what he is up to now is crazy, the man I think has lost it.
