Tell that to the health inspector. I worked there for a short time, and sorry they cross contaminate everything. If the food isn't cooked it's raw. Why wouldn't you wear gloves. I never bothered to pick up my pay check, I worked for it, but I don't care. I've been cooking for 12 years now, fine dining, banquets, catering, and this is by far the worst restaurant I've ever worked in. I do like the pet mice running around, adds to the ambiance. Greasy mice. They named them too. I was fired for not wanting to cook everything in the microwave, I have a problem with throwing a salmon fillet in the microwave. Perfectly good ovens, and burners. They didn't break 200 covers on a friday night. Why do they have to short cut. 6 cooks on??? What a joke. I was sent my w-2's, and my check 6 months later. Sorry we had to let you go, but you cooking style was different. No shit. I can cook, and there head cook, whatever he was, was scared. Oops. I would be to, that is if I didn't know how to cook.

Health Code violations? I didn't think so.
the only reason they are still open is cause they have friends in the health department. i've had a couple friends who've worked there and say that they recycle food from plates..i.e. sour cream, guac, beans, whatever. if its still on the plate, they recycle it. nasty. fuck em. they'll shut down eventually if they have no customers.

It's not real mexican food. When you leave you notice the smell stick with you. If you like grease soaked food, 3 day old re-heated side dishes and retarded old people then this is the place for you. They hate paying anybody, IRS and employees alike. It is such a backwards place. They can take their dead end jobs and hire some mexicans. Maybe then the food will be good but only if Rizzo isn't around.

"you dont need to wear gloves if the food is not cooked only with food that is ready to eat"

Then why do other restaurants cooks wear gloves?

I have family that has worked/works in this restaurant...If all of this stuff that is written was true - then why/how would it still be open?

Here are a couple of definate facts:

Yes, Patti does owe people money all over the place & she does hire under the table.

I do know how she treats her employees & it is deplorable. I dont know how anyone could work for someone like her....
But, she does have loyal employees as well as a loyal customer base...so, where do you all think that bitching on here is getting you?

actually if the food is raw & going to be cooked - like making pizzas - you dont need to wear gloves.
Prepping food - you need to wear gloves.
But, to be totally honest - Patty is very bi-polar & is VERY difficult to work for. She yells at them in front of customers & goes off on a whim.
She does pay employees under the table.
She also has work done & either doesnt pay or takes her sweet time paying off.
The waitress' dont claim their tips, only the credit card tips.
They also dont tip out the bussers. Very greedy.

I ate there for the first and last time tonight, and almost puked. The chicken was dry and not seasoned at all, the sauce they used on the enchilada tasted like canned spaghetti sauce, the cheese was nasty. I should've read these posts before going, i don't see what people see in this place. If you want good, authentic Mexican food, go to El Canelo's.

I work at casa tu mucha and believe me it is true because I'm the one that has to take disposable cups out of the trash and put them in the dish washer. I also scoup up all of the tarter sauce that was left behind on someone's plate and put it back in the original container. Any leftovers that was untouched on a plate gets put back on a different plate. Patti is very frugal and believes in recycling everything. Besides she is always bragging on how she pays the board of health off. I always sneeze and cough on peoples plates all the time. The New Hartford People loves s**ty food anyways.

I to worked at that dump for about 4 months and everything about the food being done in the microwaves is true. I saw patty with my own eyes roll the bust cart back to the dishwashing room and take partial eaten containers of coleslaw and tartar sauce and dump them pack into the fresh containers and served to the next customer. PATTY IS A SCUMBAG!!!

Did this place change hands? We ate there recently and the food and menu seem different, plus I didn't see the female owner.

IDK.... but they do get a lot of health codes against them
The same with Mr. McGills - and they are still open too!

I've been eating at Casa Too Mucha since the late 1980's. I've NEVER had a SINGLE issue with manners, service, cleanliness, or food quality. This place has a great reputation, and I've known someone who worked dishes there, but he never said anything negative about the place to me. I'm going there tomorrow. I found this thread by googling for their hours. Cheer up Topix, this place is a very nice atmosphere.

To all of those who wonder about this place, here is the truth. I worked there for a short time and there is truly a wall of microwaves. There was never any use of gloves while prepping food. The owner is a complete b*tch, and they pay employees under the table ( I bet the government would love that!). I will never set foot in that establishment again and I recommend that everyone else does the same!
I worked there too for about 4years like nine yrs ago though and the one thing that always got me thinking twice was when I was told to process tomatoes... seems easy enough right? Just take the core out the tomatoes and put them through the dicer... lol well when I opened the box to see the Mold on them, so I brought it to Pattie Rizzo"s attention and she said to just cut around it ?? Etc?? EWWWWW... And the thing is that's a normal procedure there down on a daily basis so whatever u do don't eat the tomatoes!!!!
