Hazing alleged at Deale VFD

An investigation is under way into allegations that a young man was tied to a hose tower and pushed around as part of an initiation into the Deale Volunteer Fire Department last spring.

wow the story is one way it is all alleged. if anything really happened the police would be taking action.

i hope this runs in the capitial again with what is going to happen to the people who where involved. that way we will know if the police had a reason. maybe the fire dept. is handling it.

if it alleged how come they didnt comment to say what is happening

WTF the cheif isnt really a cheif 1st off and like some say if Tommy was there maybe this would NOT and like we say would NOT have happend but it did and something needs to be done to the people that did it so that both sides have peace.I hope that the people that did this know that something will come out of it because what they did was wrong and they need to pay for it. what fire dept would allow it to happen and nothing be done. If the cheif was somebody he would stand up for what he did and the others did. All I can say is that I hope justice will be done and that the people who did this will know that it was wrong and they are common! And I know for a fact the there is more to it and that way the fire dept isnt speaking and they family isnt speaking because if you read what was said they have a lawyer!

The family of the boy also needs to know that there are alot of people that are backing them up and will stand by them to make sure that something is done to the so called Volunteers at that fire house. Sue is by your Side!!!!

after reading some of the blogs on here i think another story should run in the paper so the truth will come out. i cant imagine what this family must be feeling....or i cant understand what would be happening in a firehouse.

mary i agree i wish this could happen the community has alot of questions. what i also cant understand is how a pgfd can use his id to make a statement
from reading this statement i would think this person might have friends or been involved.
MAYBE SOMEONE IN THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO CALL THE PAPER OR NEWS. better yet why doesnt the fire dept talk if they have nothing to cover. the family has a lawyer so they cant from what the paper said.....

I agree that there is alot more to this story and maybe someone will call the paper and the news agian I wish the family the best out of this and hope that something comes out of it. It never cross my mind about what you said about the pgfd person knowning something but you never know I feel you cant trust anybody!

ok i went to lunch because i am home for the day to a local resturant....searched the web because they where talking about this itcame up. its sad to think that a community can talk about this what is worse is to hear other owners of places talking. think i know the family and this childs mother i can tell you she is not one to back down very easy and i hope for the best if it turns out to be true.

I can tell you if this happened in Balt. City there would be more than 1 head rolling. The Volunteer Chief should be removed and anyone else around that helped be suspended or removed too !!!! I hope the IAFF and Anne Arundel County FD put their foot in someone's A**. Deale Volunteers have just tarnished the "REAL" fire fighters name in Maryland.

i also no the family and child real well hell its deale we all no everbody this family will not back down until something is done the rite way i hope that the chief and the member of the deale fire dept r removed and there can not sever the deale area hell they should not be firefighter anywere firemen r to help people not hurt them something needs to be done and the people of deale should help

Am a firefighther in montgomery county and I heard about this from a person that lives on my street yesterday. I cant belive that things like this can happen the men and woman that get jobs to be firefighters are suppose to be there for people and not to treat people this way. this is just wrong and I hope that the people of that fire house have to pay for what they did to this young man. I know that if something like this was to happen in montgomery county that the people that did this would be fired or on leave till without pay till they found out what was going on. I pray for the young man and I hope that the anne arundel county fire dept takes action and clears this up, and I hope that the people that did this get time for it and they really do give the name fire fighter a bad name.

ok so i went to 711 and guess what? TALK!!!! people where talking about this i am a older person we stand around and talk.. so i heard a few names and who it happend to all i can say this boys mother is not going to take this. i heard they had a lawyer which makes since why the mother has not confronted these people. i hope all goes well for this family. i also hope that the people involved if true get what comes to them.
