I have worked in nursing for over 15 years. I also have took care of people that have come in to the nursing home ,because they are at their last stages of life, and the cancer is so bad they cant take care of them self anymore due to the cancer.they become very under weight very weak and always have tons of nausia, long with all that they always sufer because the pain is so bad.No matter what kinda pain pill they on it NEVER HELPS the pain ,and all the side affects are horrible.I read the blogs people have put on the internet and its BAD .People think that Pot is so horrible and they dont want it out on the streets are in their back yards are whatever. But do people know how mine pain meds are being sold out on the streets .these things are much more dangerious out their then Pot is .The side affects alone are enuff to make anyone sick!!!!Also could kill u are your child if they got in the wrong hands. Now im not saying pot is the best for someone but if it lets these poor people stay relaxed and comfortable and allows these people to beable to eat somthing and to keep it down.your right Im all for it.Some times i think we all forget what its like to walk in someone else shoes. If their are cancer paients out their that say pot helps them, then who are we to judge.I tell u what i think it should be the doctors and paient who makes the dession rather they can smoke pot are not.Who are we to make a dession like that.

It has hurt Charitable Gambling in MN
And even more bad news.
Of course the only studies that say that it does not hurt the economy or jobs are done by anti-smoking activist and not independent economist. Here is an example of Anti-spin.
And the Author.
Not to mention it was all based on Junk Science.
The Surgeon Generals report even admits they used questionable methods on page 21.
"Recognizing that there is still an active discussion
around the use of meta-analysis to pool data
from observational studies (versus clinical trials),
the authors of this Surgeon Generalís report used
this methodology to summarize the available data
when deemed appropriate and useful, even while
recognizing that the uncertainty around the metaanalytic
estimates may exceed the uncertainty indicated
by conventional statistical indices, because of
biases either within the observational studies or produced
by the manner of their selection."

To decide how to vote on the smoking ban.It would be good to see the views on both sides. Here we only see the commercials for the smoking ban and we see it alot. We don't see any studies on how it would affect the economy if at all or what it will cost to enforce it or do smokers really quit if it is banned in a state. By the way where does the money come from for those ads.
