I'm sorry but people shouldn't be kissing in public..I hate to see that...my husband and I don't kiss ( make out) in public I think its' rude and inapproriate
Agreed, but the point is that had it been a man and a woman, nothing would have happened, even if you and I disapprove of it. It is a double standard, and that is what is wrong.

i dare them to that in a public place with no security. see what happens. you gay guys are cowards. at least have the guts to "express" yourself outsdie the protection of secuirty guards. oh yeah, i forgot, you guys wouldn't dare. you guys are a joke.
Hahah, you are calling a generic group of people cowards, and then leaving an anonymous quote. If you are SOOO damn brave, why not leave your real name, your address, and your phone number. I personally would not do it, but then again, I don't go around calling people cowards.

Yes it is a double standard but that can be fixed real quick by applying the same rules to all. I doubt it was a simple quick peck of a kiss anyway. They were putting on a show. Now this will start happening a lot more often when gays attempt to make a point and support these two.

40 years ago to the day (June 28th) was the beginning of the Civil Rights movement for the LGBT community, El Paso obviously is yet to catch up to the curve. It's a sad day for El Paso to be so backwards in it's thinking by not recognizing that we gay men and women are here ... and aren't going anywhere. E.P.P.D. should brush up on it's laws (and local ordinances).
Those who deny that gay men and women exist and have the same basic rights of our heterosexual counterparts are missing some vital elements in history. It's important to remember that Abraham Lincoln was bisexual, Rock Hudson was gay, Billie Jean King was a lesbian, and even the first director of the FBI was a homosexual -- J. Edgar Hoover. Come on now ... It's time El Paso moves to the 21st century where the rest of the world lives.

Yes, if you don't want to see two men or two women kissing, you are free to be offended. And you are free to leave the restaurant, assuming that you're not stiffing the waitress for the check. Other than that, grow up!

Kissing is Jihadist?

If so, then the entire population of straight folks is guilty.

Are you kidding me? What self-respecting Gay man would be caught dead at Chicos? There are more up-scale places like Geskes, Cafe-Central, The Dome Grill. The average patron of a Chicos Tacos has the intellect and sophistication of a three year-old . Extra sheeees and stain remover for the t-shirt that almost covers my teenage pregnant belly.

What would you tell your kids if they saw a straight couples kissing? Would they even care, or is it YOUR issue?

I find it rather gross as well, but I see it all the time.

In grocery store lines, waiting for the tank to fill as the gas station. I've seen young straight couples doing some pretty inappropriate things, however, I've never seen them denied service for it.

It's pretty basic.

If a straight couple would have been tossed out for the exact same behavior, then their behavior was inappropriate for that store.

If not, they have every right to seek redress.

I personally have seen resturants kick out many people for various reasons including public displays of affection. I personally dont believe these guys "gay" or not. Chicos is a family resturant and grow up. Quit tryig to be a victim when its your own behavior that is at fault.

I think most people would be surprised at just how many homosexual people live and work in the El Paso Community. I happen to know that Chico's gets a lot of gay business, especially after the bars close on the weekends, as do a number of other restaurants. Chico's would do well to remember that they stand to lose a major source of income if they continue to discriminate.

Big surprise that El Paso cops don't know the law. They again made idle threats, and threaten those who call them for help. If you put a cop on the street and give him a gun, shouldn't you at least make sure that he/see knows the law?'He' a rookie' or 'new to the force' doesn't cut it.

Discrimination is discrimination pure and simple. Whether you approve of their lifestyle, it is illegal to discrimination against someone due to their sexual orientation. Then again its El Paso and you do whatever you want in this hellhole. You practice discrimination on a daily basis. Instead of just harassing soldiers and their families, now you harass homosexual men.

@Freedom: El Paso is a Catholic city? Why don't you get out of town you religious bigot! What were you doing when you were a teenager? Lynching black people? What were you doing in the 40s? Helping the Nazis kill Jews? As far as homosexual conduct goes, why don't you do something about perverted Catholic priest child molesters, before you start telling other people how to live their lives!
