Any church that is even thought to be cult-like, or there is word going around that it is cultish...is a church I'd be staying farrrrr away from.

So why are the young people leaving that church in droves now after all these years? What has changed out there? There are entire families leaving the church as well. I have heard rumours that there are incidents of major abuse out there, physically, mentally, as well as sexual abuse. Watch your middle school and older kids. They are trying to recruit new blood. With all the younger people leaving they need to get a new gene pool in there since they have to marry within the church.

So, former Mt Tabor members, speak up and tell everyone why you have left. If it was all that bad and true, why is everyone hesitant to speak of the abuse?

People are leaving Mt Tabor cog and it's affiliate congregations because they are realizing the fact that they are in a religious system that is very corrupt and cultish....I know of people who have been in it for years, that are getting out. In the cog, they TEACH people that if you leave the group, you will go to hell (they use brain-washing and scare-tatics) . Many people stay in so long ,no doubt, because of fear. Regardless of what they know is wrong going on in the group, they are afraid to leave. It's very sad....But at lest now, many people are realizing...they CANNOT stay in a religious system like this....

I am free from this cult! Thank the Lord. There is serious abuse issues in this church, and the good Lord is bringing it all to light. "Be sure your sins will find you out!"

People are seeing that they have been lied to and manipulated by the ministry there. Every time they grow they blow themselves up with another split. The church is based on a deceptive lie when they split from Anderson Indiana Churches of God years ago. Since they split with Anderson they have schism-ed and split at least 6 more times. They claim they ushered in the 7th seal and its all a fraud. The place is ran by a bunch of ill educated false prophets that fuel there authority by fear, manipulation and control. The people who attended are mostly good people who are under a pastoral dictatorship. When congregants do leave there is not a choice of other faith circles to associate with because they have been brainwashed to believe they are the "one true visible church" they only ones that will see God in the final judgment.

I am so very thankful God helped me to get out of this abusive religious system that calls itself a church.."The Church"...as they refer to it. You see, I was in the "cog trap" for many years, thinking I could not get out. They teach ( by using brain-washing and scare-tatics) that if you leave the group, you will go to hell.Regardless of what you know goes on in the group, you are scared to leave it. I believe some people stay in it for so long because they are afraid to leave, that's why I call it the... "cog trap". Once they put that fear in you..it's difficult to break free. It does take the courage and help of God to get out of any cult-ish situation. Walking away from it was the best decision I've ever made in my life.(getting into it , was the worse)After leaving it..I found the TRUE God..Life is awesome..God is good...and I'm one grateful person who is HAPPY2BFREE!!

Not all cults offer the kool-aid and they may not have pastors by the name of Jim Jones...Nevertheless, they are indeed cults.Google cult-characteristics..It's startling how Mt Tabor and it affiliates have sooo many of these cult characteristics..

But are you with a church now that you feel comfortable with and feel god in. There are many false profits, but the main thing is keeping a closeness to God.

Since leaving the cult, I have found the True God.I had no idea He was so awesome...I had no idea LIFE was so awesome. I go to a wonderful Christian Church, where every service, you know God is there. When I left the cog, my life was so broken, I didnt even know if it could be fixed...God proved me wrong...I have never known God like this...There IS life after the cog. After being in the cog so long....I KNOW what falseness is....I am very grateful for the life I have now.I ♥ God....I ♥ life...

I'm sure there are others in the Mt Tabor cog cult group, that wish to get out....but it is quite difficult (yet possible) to leave a church that teaches you will go to hell if you leave the group.I just pray God gives the courage to those who feel trapped...to break free. To SEE and KNOW all the WRONG things that take place in that cult, then feel like you cannot leave, is so sad. I know..I was trapped for years...

that is the real hook they have you believing they have all the truth,,,and probably like myself a lot of family attend there and affiliate congregations so when you are cut off or shuned like I was ..you loose all your family and all your church family too.... However the ministry will one day have to answer to God almighty...
