As a possible purchaser of property on 45 1/2 road in Debeque, I am obviously opposed to such facilities in such close proximity to our residence. If we decide to go through with our property purchase which seems likely, we will join forces with any and all opposition groups, C-RED being one. And like I told Frank Lamm on the phone, I have a big mouth. I'd like to see legislation in place that prevents propositions like this from ever being considered. There are lots of unpopulated areas to use instead of our communities. If it means trucks going further to dump their junk, so be it. Rich Counts statement about his property echoes our feelings exactly for considering to buy the property we wish to obtain, for our children, grandchildren, dogs, cats horses, local wildlife, etc. We want a good quality of life and are willing to fight for it. Thank you.

Running small businesses out of business so that you can have your piece of paradise seems extremely unfair. Any business that is run responsibly has as much right to be there as a residential home. If you don't want to live where it is zoned industrial then I suggest you look elsewhere for property.

don't you love it when folks comment on a post that concerns a community with, what, a hundred or so people living in it in a semi-cramped geographical area all of whome would rather have the facility a little further up or down river from them?
Energy production is not small business Linda. Forcing a community that has nothing to do with the created waste water in the first place to deal with ANOTHER STATE'S mess is what is unfair. Waste Water Evaporation pools smell bad, collect dead animals, and are full of waste water. go look at this information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waste_water industrial site drainage (silt, sand, alkali, oil, chemical) -Industrial cooling waters (biocides, heat, slimes, silt) -Industrial process waters -Organic - bio-degradable - includes waste from abattoirs and creameries and ice-cream manufacture. -Organic - non bio-degradable or difficult to treat - for example Pharmaceutical or Pesticide manufacturing -Inorganic - for example from the metalworking industry -extreme pH - from acid/alkali manufacturing, metal plating -Toxic - e.g. from metal plating, cyanide production, pesticide manufacturing -Solids and Emulsions - e.g. Paper manufacturing, food stuffs, lubricating and hydraulic oil manufacture -agricultural drainage - direct and diffuse not sure about you Lind, but i don't want any of that junk anywhere near me or the river i might live next to. if it is built we'll be sure to suggest your neighborhood as the burial sight for the concentrated waist that is left after evaporation as it seems this wouldn't bother you a bit. |
