I think Willimantic needs a soveriegn move of God to break the chains that hold people in this endless cycle of addiction. Hearts have grown cold, emotions are numb, as nameless faces are seen walking the streets of Willimantic.
I know what it's like to feel like a caged animal, trapped in a prison of unwanted behaviors. I know what it feels like to have tried every program and talked to every therapist, yet still feel completely hopeless. The only freedom I found was in the power of the love of Jesus Christ. It's not about religion, it's not about a church building, or just going through the motions of doing good. It's about surrendering my will and my human strength to a Savior that will never forsake me. Jesus knows the condition of every heart. He knows when someone truley wants freedom from their chains and are willing to do whatever it takes. When I gave my life to Him, He set my life free.

I live in Willimantic and the lack of violent crimes is not something to be taken for granted. I would much rather see nameless junkies here and there (which is not even that often as is made to be now in 2007) than seeing stabbings, shootings or rapes.

Also someone needs to shut down these clubs where the tenants living above sell to dozens daily without even having to leave the building...out of sight to cops, but right across the street from me...ehem..Las Palmas

At the end of the day though...I love this aint that evil...though sometimes it does feel like The Twilight Zone.
