M.G. Tower retion pound dispute.

In a meeting on November 12th 2013 the Holly Hill city commission voted on building a retention pond at 224 Riverside Drive Holly Hill. Where 80 residents currently live. The commission voted 3-1 to purchase the land for 1.5M. Mayor Roy Johnson Comm. John Penny & Donnie Moore [who was in the news again for residency restrictions this year.] voted yes. Elizabeth Albert was the lone no vote. Penny Curry who conveniently didn't show up to vote expressed concerns about saving the trailer park [adjacent to M.G. Tower] Johnson mentioned that it must be done because the Drainage System'; between Second' & Third street does not work properly. 1.5m for the Second Street Market that bombed- tried again and bombed and kept coming back- improper drainage system!!! There is a dispute between city manager Jim McCroskey and the owner of the park who claims McCroskey made threats......
