The red-light cameras mentioned in this article are 'in fact' yellow light camera's. They are employed in a way that you must stop on yellow or risk getting a bogus red light infraction ticket. This administration has mislead both the Palm Coast residents and the state; that is why they are sharing the illegally gained taxes with the state. Stopping on a yellow light traffic signal causes accidents; as reported by police departments across the USA. The manner is which the 'stop on yellow light' cameras are employed is illegal, unsafe, and contemptible. As a safety certification engineer, I provided the town with all of the data they need to make these 'yellow light camera's' back into 'red light camera's'. It is simple and costs virtually nothing. Your illustrious leaders have now resorted to volume to make up for the money they need to pay the state to keep the illegal 'yellow lights profitable'.

Why not post this to Facebook where it can be seen? I agree with you. I received a ticket going thru an intersection not long ago. Just as you described, the light was yellow. In a class action settlement offer the reimbursement was to be not more than a total of $8 against an expensive ticket. Palm Coast does not need so many cameras! We are not a town of criminals! The cameras only cause a lot of anxiety on the roads. I for one, go shopping much less often, and am very nervous driving especially when entering an intersection. This is not good for business, and eventually when word gets out about this town, tourism (our economy) will be effected I'll bet. What can be done about this?

I might try an article for Care2, If you would like to post my comment or have me beef it up and then post it, it would be great.

First placed few cameras, to see the reaction of the citizen, as not protested strongly, now they want more money from our pockets. The only ones who can change the abuses of government, are we when it comes time to vote, and the city never consulted before seeking our money.

The hub is located at the center of the wheel and surrounds the wheel's axle.
While the axle is fixedcarbon track wheeland bolted to the bike frame (at the dropouts or fork ends),
the hub turns the wheel around the axle through ysbike01 the use of ball bearings.
At the sides of the hub, just inside of where the axle connects to the frame,
hub flanges flare out to form flat disccyclocross framessurfaces that contain holes for the spokes.
Spokes are needed on a wheel to connect the rim to the hub, to provide support for the carbon wheel,
and to absorb forces (of both the road and the rider)track bikes framesexerted on the wheel.
However, unlike the spokes of a wagon wheel, bicycle spokes hold the wheel together through tension (by pulling in the rim)
not through compression (holding the rim in place). Tighter spokes make for stronger wheels.
Spokes are made of stainless steel and have nipplecarbon wheelsheads at the end for attaching to the rim and tightening.
At the hub, spokes attach to one of the hub flanges, alternating between right and left sides.
Wheels may have radial spokes, tangent or crossed spokes,
or a combination of the two. Radial spokes simply connect a point on the rim to a point on the hub and do not cross each other,
while the stronger tangential spokes wrap around the hub and connect to two points on the rim,
crossing other spokes in the process. Most bicycle wheels have between 20 and 36 spokes.

Red light cams weren't enough, now they've stooped to yellow light cams. Go to hell-all of you!

Many of the traffic light cameras around the country are contracted out to a private for- profit company getting a good share of whatever they can produce. In some cases, the yellow lights were shortened to either get you or make you stand on the brakes and risk a rear ender. There are products on the market under "blockers" that scatter the infared light so the camera can't see the tag and clear shields to put over the tag to do the same.
