Yes, Dicks boat was where JB's is. He was a good guy,(I say "was", he could still be alive.)He told me about good spots to use a cast net. Actually I knew them when they lived in Samsula.

I remember Dick and Ann well.

Their houseboat was one of the last.Dick was actually grandfathered by the county. It was (as a matter of fact) at JB's.

I haven't been down that way in many years, so I don't know if hes still with us.

It was a real joy to sit and talk fishin' with him.

There's was nothing like waking Red up about four in the morning just to get another pound of shrimp for bait.

Eldorada was a great place to bang crabs on the table and I was at JB's last week for a fried oyster sandwich. Couldn't believe all of the new table tops. Must'a been the health department that made them hang the new ones.

The place looks great unless you liked the nastier old fish camp look.

NSBMom is full of crap! Sounds like she just has an attitude problem. The locals love it and the help is great! It has improved over the last four years. Had some really bad servers, but they got rid of them. I would suggest JB's to anyone - local or not!
NSBMom gave her opinion of JBs, and I still dont like going there. If you do, fine, go

I am not a fan of fried breaded food. Never have been. Every time I went to JBs there were no options. I admit I haven't been there for about a year.

Norwoods does buy local seafood. I know one of the fishermen they buy it from.

Have to appreciate someone who does business locally.

I used to stop at Dick's boat when I was coming in from shrimping all night. his first comment was always 'Slow that damn thing down'. He always had coffee strong enough to wake you up quick. I used to sell shrimp to Floyd Lambert who managed the place for Hank Goldman's brother. In the late 70s, it changed from Goldman,s fish camp to JB's fish camp. Darcy Morrelli (probably spelled wrong and I hope I got his name right). Was the chef there and the food was pretty darn good. I haven't been back in many years.

I used to work at Cedar Creel Campground. I guess it is some kind of condo now. Does anybody here remember James from Cedar Creek?
