This is nothing new. Cops always want the freebies that go with the uniform.

What a sad way to end his career in law enforcement.

That is really a sad ending to a career. I just hope he thought the coffee was worth it.

Imagine That

This happens everywhere. When I was working in Bartow the Deputies were getting free meals from the Burger King, In Kissimmee I’ve seen them walk out of the Racetrack with coffee repeatedly without paying for it. When I was younger I worked at a CircleK in Lakeland and we were told as part of our training not to refuse free food or coffee to the cops or they would not show up when needed.

Years ago I worked at 7-11 and remember seeing a cop steal hot dogs, even though the only things they were supposed to get for free were cups of coffee or fountain drinks. What do you do? Call the cops?
But to be fair, there was one officer who always offered to pay for his drinks, even though we would give them to him for free. He never took advantage. So, it all depends on the character of the officer.

ALL VERY CONFUSING
|
First we have Sergeant Frank Drebin, Detective Lieutenant of POLICE SQUAD.
Now we have Major Garvin, former Lieutenant, NO POLICE SQUAD.
I'M CONFUSED.....Guess I need a double latte to figure it out....

This power mad sack of crap got exactly what he deserves. What a loser! Two-bit pig. HAHAHA - fired over free coffee. I hope he never gets a job in law enforcement again. Maybe he'll have to work at a Starbucks... if he has enough intelligence to make coffee that is.

The point of the law is that on one is above it. And clearly you've never worked in customer service.
