I am grateful for the police investagating this. But we need to remember the 88 year old lady involved and respect that family's privacy in such a sad time

I agree 100% that we need to remember the elderly lady and her privacy. I am sure she was tramualized and does not need her rape spread all over the media.

However, the incompetence of the nursing home to allow this needs to be shown

well with the investigation, hopefully all who by either incompetence, good judgment and other reasons will have to answer for it. Someone is definitely responsible and needs to face the most severe justice for doing this. There is no excuse whatsoever for an elderly person in a paid facility where they reside to be victimized. No excuses! I can only imagine how insecure the elderly residents must be feeling now since this was allowed to happen. If it was an employee I would have my relative removed from that institution immediately to another facility!!!!!

We at other lifecares were notified about this terrible crime. We were also told to reset all door alarms and codes to them. We were not told the details, and it may have been an outsider who got through a door. We also lookout for people that visit the residents and want to close the door for privacy. I've been in nursing homes for 25 years and this is a horrible crime and have seen patients yelled at and hit by their own family. It truly makes me mad that our elders are treated like that. I really hope she will be ok.

The thug that did the crime to her is 33 years old and he has been arrested 33 times on various charges and always set free from judge McKenzie with a tap on his hand. I blame the sheriff's office and the judge for this man to even be free and running out and about to do this terrible thing to a older lady. He should have been put away long ago. He doesn't deserve to live in my opinion!!!!
I wish that lady God Speed and hope she can get past this..........

I agree with you on most of this. This guy should get the most severe punishment possible by law. There are for sure some serious problems with the judicial system in the U.S., but to place the blame on the Sheriff's Department and one single judge is misguided and wrong. That also shows a growing trend in our country. Everyone wants to place the blame on someone besides the one(s) that is(are) actually responsible for the wrong doing.

Again I agree that this would never have happened if this psycho would have been locked up like he should have been a long time ago, but at the same time, the Judge and Sheriff's Department did not make him commit this crime. He made his choice, and he alone is responsible for that.

i have to disagree some what,,i feel the judge does have a part in making these criminals..the reason from the time they are first arressted..its probation, commit a crime, just keep probation paid.break into a house, more probation, break into another one.don't matter as long as system is making money off it..pretty soon these thugs think they can do any thing and get by with it,,bad as this crime is,i bet money this guy will spend about 3 years in jail, and be back on the streets.paying more money into the system..

Yeah, but like I said the problem is within the system itself, not in individual judges. The same kind of stuff happens all across the country. Believe it or not, it isn't just here in Rhea County. There is overcrowding in local, state, and federal prisons in the entire country, because the current system is failing. So, again, the problem is with our current judicial system, not one individual judge or agency.

Are you serious??? GET OVER PLACING BLAME ON THE JUDGE AND POLICE!!!! There are around 33,000 people in Rhea County that have the opportunity to commit crime every single day. Is that the police and judges fault too? How about we come to grips with reality and place the blame soley on the sick individual that did this. He made his choice. No one else, just him.

Oh,It just chaps my ass to hear some bleeding heart like Really talk about the system failing being the reason the jails and prisons are overcrowded.Big bunch of BS.Overcrowding is due to the low life scum bags that do the crime because they are to stupid or lazy to be a law abiding productive member of society.
Is it the fault of the police or sheriff ? No. All they can do is arrest them.Is it the fault of the judge ? Partly.Of course the judge didnt make him do the crime but 33 arrests and still being out on the streets is total Bulls**t.He should have been locked up long ago and then this particular crime would not have happened.
By the way,if the lowlife scum bags don't want to be in an overcrowded prison then they shouldn't do what they do to get there. DON'T DO THE CRIME IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME.
Yes this particular scum bag deserves a needle in his arm with a nice goodbye cocktail.

they did not give him anything. he is a criminal and took something from this woman. Let's remember this would have happend no matter who was sheriff. The same as there are always vicitms no matter how good a law enforcemnt we have. That is why they are called predators, the lurk, sneak, and con their way in until they find their opportunity. Come on to say that somehow the sheriff allowed this to happen or handed the guy a free pass to do it is just ludacris. Let's not forget he found an opportunity and his way in to the facility. There is certainly more than one person to blame here and just because it is election time let's not use this poor woman's crime as an opportunity to slam current officals. Let's deal with this animal once and for all!!!! No more chances! Put him away. An eye for an eye and I hope he gets plenty of the pain he has caused back once he is in a facility that is supposed to be secure and has security guards. Someone slipped up on this and it wasn't the sheriff. He can only arrest a culprit he cannot prevent anyone from creeping in our windows at night.

Sorry to hear about your chapped ass... You should really make a trip to Walgreens for that...

But anyway, you actually make an argument along with what I was saying. I agree that there the low lifes are too stupid and lazy to be productive. But the system in place puts them in a jail/prison with heat/ac, cable tv, 3 meals a day, and no telling what other benefits. Most of these trouble makers sit around at home and enjoy the same things along with doing drugs, but they have to pay for these things, although it is likely with stolen money/goods. Everyone knows that drugs can be and are smuggled into jails, so why would a person want to pay for the stuff they get at home, when they can sit in jail or prison and enjoy the same stuff for free. Turds have it too nice in jail, so they don't mind going.

With all that said, state and federal prisons are full... We are in very hard financial times, so there isn't money to make new jails and prisons... Local jails are full, but they can't send people to the already full state and federal prisons... The current system WILL NOT ALLOW overcrowding, because of the "turd's rights", so yes there is a huge problem with the current judicial system... What do you suggest???

this nursing facility is in city limits is it not? What about blaming Chief of Police of Dayton? Makes just as much sense as blaming the sheriff!!!!!! Blame the Judge. He is the one that imposes sentences. All the sheriff can do is lock em up when told to by law and let him go when told to by JUDGE!!!!! Get REAL!!

well that would work better than the system I guess. I would imagine it is frustrating arresting this type of person only for him to get his wrist slapped and set free by the judge.

how many were done by the county? doesn't matter anyway, i agree though, the judge has the final say.(by the way you can rest assured, I AM REAL)
