Good to see the Hear-old-News finally printed something that was real for a change. Then again, I really doubt if any of it's real or not. I mean, just who in the hell is going to walk into the election commission and demand to see any results? Yep, NOBODY. It doesn't matter who votes for what or who, it's who COUNTS the votes that matters. Rest assurred, Rhea County officials are in such a monetary jam that they simply will not or can not allow something as important as a TAX INCREASE for more money for them to be left up to a voter, no way in hell. If I really, really, really cared enough, I would be the person who would walk into the election commission and count everything myself only to watch them squirm. Then again, my name isn't "Only If". In any event, sit back and wait for a few years to go by and this new tax will be as if it wasn't even there and some other tax will be slapped on Rhea Countians. So sad for them, it really is.

Had drunk ass'd Chester Smith (sounds like a pedophile's name---Chester the Melestor) aka "Max Hackett" then the story would had been plucked from an intoxicated idiot. Hey, everyone has read FAKE stories before from the Herald - News so what makes anyone think for one second the tax actually passed? How does anyone know? Do they place a blind trust in a newspaper that routinely blows smoke up everyone's (_*_)? Think about it people...Apparently, Hackett (Chester) thought Rhea Countians were stupid enough to never notice him printing stories about meetings and crap that he never attended. Would pudgy man Carpenter do anything less? Good thing (embarrassing for him) that www.RheaCountyNewspaper.com is there to fill the upcoming void. Drunk reporters, ghost writing of stories, supportive of deception and low paid employees (getting what they pay for). I guess in a way if I was named "Chester Smith" (that doesn't even sound real itself, who names their kid "Chester") I too would feel insecure about myself and become a drunk, a wife beater and a jail bird never knowing what life beyond that of a low paid, sorely unappreciated jail bird reporter for a tiny town almost broke newspaper. If Max, I mean C H E S T E R wasn't such an idiot bottom feeder I'd almost feel sorry for him.

There is so much being typed using peoples name that it is confusing me..I believe Mr. LouAllen will do whats best for the city, something that hasnt been done by some.I hope Mr. Riggs,who is a good man will run the next time against some of the others. Hopefully no more behind the scene meetings and wasteful spending.

I agree with you OMG. It would really be best to get out the old and put in some new. The community is not growing or changing. New faces and new opinions along with different goals would definitely be refreshing and more encouraging than what we have been getting from the ones in there year, after year, after year..... Hope you are right OMG.
