Don't worry, one day I'll pedal my county issued black and white sheriff's bicycle (not green-I need a morale boost) and haul him to jail in my basket. I'll even run 10-33 traffic up there using my thumbalina handlebar bell ;)

just make sure that you have a headlight on your bike that flashes when you paddle to get people out of the way and a spare tire just in case of a high speed chase or a shoot out lol take care wolf

There was a drive by shooting on E. Roddy Rd. yesterday.Luckely nobody was hit.Severel shots were fired into a garage where an elderly man was working.Neighbors think it was retaliaton because he had ben complaning about the drug dealer who lives neer him.
He is a fine old gent.who has never harmed anyone.
Ok D.A.,Sheriff and Herald news get off the can before someone is murdered.

I'm not familiar where E. Roddy Road is, please tell me. It sounds as though this gentleman that was shot at has one good thing going for him, neighbors that keep their eyes and ears open and care. The neighborhood has the upper hand now, especially if they know who the individual is. The neighborhood could make it very difficult on this guy by banding together. However, if this guy has any relation in the "good ole boys" club, good luck with getting anything done to him before he kills someone. Remember the case where a sheriff's deputy has a brother that shot his ex-wife's boyfriend and killed him? Still out on bond with no trial date set the last I heard. This will kind of be shuffled off until forgotten by most. Just like the many "mysterious" suicides in Rhea County. My thoughts are with those in danger by this criminal. I hope he is caught before he seriously hurts someone or worse. Keep doing what you are doing though. Don't stop talking and stick together. I wish this neighborhood the best.

It doesn't seem to matter if you know who is doing the drive by shootings and selling the drugs in this area, the Sheriff's Dept doesn't want to hear about it. They have been told a lot of info, but "temporary arrests" are made. Just to shut people up. The drugs are being sold out of the same house that Faye was murdered in, the trial hasn't even happened yet. Rhea Co is really slack with the LE there. I can see why the crime is so high in that Co., there is no LE. The DA could step on the Sheriff's toes, if he wanted to, but that won't happen either. Don't waste your time calling the Sheriff, you will only get one of "his puppies".

I agree Stormy. I have dealt with RCSD and you are lucky to see Neal in his own department, let alone ever get him on the phone and unfortunately the only people you have to deal with in his department are a bunch of deputies with attitudes and arrogance. The legal system there is a joke. I have never seen a court room run like McKenzie's.... It certainly was the right place to have the "monkey trial". That courthouse is a joke. I used to work for an attorney in the north and let me tell you any courtroom I was ever in was never run like the one here. i got a bit off topic here, sorry. Bottom line, Rhea County does not have a good justice system, starting with the Sheriff, including the DA, and ending with McKinzie. I pity anyone that has to go through their so-called justice system. Oh it's a system alright but there is no justice.

How can a sheriff's department justify such a massive expansion of employees, equipment and budget when the damn population of Rhea County as a whole hasn't grown much more than 6,000 people in over 50 years? Someone explain that one to me, please. And while your explaining that one, explain this one...just how in the world does Rhea County get by in pre-set bond schedules which I thought (TN Att. Gen. as well) were unlawful? And what about double bonding? How can a person be out on bond then be forced to post another bond when he's already out? I mean come on people, snap out of it, geeeez us. As of now it hasn't got so far lost in Rhea County that they have to pipe sunshine into the place, well, not yet anyways. Then again, so long as everything is done equally, fine, I have no problem with it. But this favortism, cronyism, nepotism crap has got to stop somewhere. Like a snowball rolling down hill, it gets bigger and bigger the farther it goes. Step in front of it to attempt to stop it will get you run over by it. The answer, don't stop the snowball, let the snowball stop itself...How you ask? Good question. Maybe what we are doing right now is generating heat just enough that over a spance of time it will begin to melt and as it does it will start to lose it's integrity as a solid snowball and start to fall apart...melting slowly...Like the battle of the sun and the wind, the wind used all it's force to blow on a man in order to make him keep his coat on, but the sun simply cast a steady radiance of light and heat upon the man and soon enough the man felt the heat and removed his coat. Mammals, just like virtually everything else are creatures of habit. All we need do to understand an enemy is to understand ourselves. It is really quite simple. So you all keep doing what it is that you do and you will see that a few people can change everything. We each have our own little purpose here on this planet just as a speck of dust compressed and combined with many more tiny specks create a boulder...All we need to is stick together and we win!

Go ahead, People. We have it rolling now. The truth will set you free, or sink you--one :). LE in Rhea Co is a joke, but somehow, it will all backfire on them. We will not stop until it is accomplished. True, we do not live there, but our grandchildren do and they deserve better than what their Mother got. If we keep the heat turned up, and enough people read this, they "the so called Justice System" will have to start doing something worthwhile. I too have a long career in the Court System (in South Carolina) and I have never seen such Kangaroo doings in my life. But as long as they get by with it, no one says a thing. Believe me, Faye will get Justice--"we promised her that, and her babies".
Keep up the heat, guys.

ARE THE FOLKS THAT ARE DEALING, OUT OF THE HOUSE WHERE FAYE WAS MURDERED, ARE THEY PART OF THE MESS THAT WAS THERE WHEN DANIEL LIVED THERE,OR ARE THEY A DIFFERENT GROUP OF NO GOODS?
I THINK DANIEL KNEW THAT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN RHEA COUNTY WAS JUST LIKE THE ONE THAT ROANE COUNTY HAD BEFORE THE STOCKTON ADMIN. THAT'S MOST LIKELY WHY HE MOVED TO RHEA CO. RHEA CO. MUST BE KNOWN TO DRUG DEALERS AS A HAVEN FOR FOR UNDERHAND LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CROOKED JUDGES. A SLAP ON THE HAND, BOND, AND PASS A BIG BILL UNDER THE JUDGES DESK. THIS KIND OF POLITICAL UNJUST MAKES ME SICK. OUR GOVERNMENT AS A WHOLE SEEMS TO WORK LIKE THIS NOW DAYS. NOT FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE. THESE GUYS SEEM TO FORGET JUST WHO IN THE HELL THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE REPRESENTING, AND WHO IS SIGNING THEIR PAYROLL CHECKS. VOTE THESE BASTAR D S OUT OF OFFICE!!! STAND UP AND MAKE THE CHANGES THAT NEED TO BE MADE IN YOUR COUNTY. DON'T PUT UP WITH KIND OF SLAVERY ANYMORE PEOPLE.
STORMY, WHEN IS THE CASE AGAINST DANIEL COMING UP FOR THE MURDER? MAY JUSTICE NOT BE BLIND IN THIS CASE. I HOPE THEY THROW THE BOOK AT HIM, AND I HOPE THEY HIT HIM WITH IT, RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES. BEING HEARD IN RHEA COUNTY THOUGH, I AM KIND OF LEARY OF JUST WHAT HE'LL GET. SO MAYBE THE FEDS WILL PUT ENOUGH ON HIM TO ADD WITH THIS TO KEEP HIS DEFIANT LIFESTYLE LOCKED UP TILL THE DAY HE GET TO FACE JUDGEMENT BEFORE THE ONE TRUE GOD. THE FINAL JUDGEMENT WILL BE HIS LAST JUDGEMENT, AND IT MY FRIEND WILL BE JUST. REST ASURED, JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, AND GOOD LUCK IN COURT.

The Murder Trial has not been scheduled yet, they are waiting on the Drug Trial. You are right, with Rhea Co in the driver's seat with the Murder Trial, anything is possible, but be sure of one thing, "they had better put him away for a long time". Yes, his final judgement day will be the utmost. He will get Justice then. And yes, the house that Faye died in is still a drug house. Not sure who the scum is, but was told D's sister still has the keys to it and lets those people live there. To my knowledge, none of these people have been arrested-even tho RCSD has been told of the activity many times, that's what caused the drive by shooting. The man across the street from that house is the one that Decon is speaking of.

Well, how long does it take? It's been a year for the 'scum" across the road, and he's still walking. The house has scum living in it, and nothing is being done. Are they gona wait until someone dies again, before they do anything? Are they scared??

Reserve deputies are not even legally authorized to drive a patrol car with lights and siren.

TCA 55-9-414. Blue flashing emergency lights on motor vehicles unlawful — Exception — Penalty.—

(a)(1) It is unlawful for anyone to install, maintain or exhibit blue flashing emergency lights or blue flashing emergency lights in combination with red flashing emergency lights, except full-time, salaried, uniformed law enforcement officers of the state, county, or city and municipal governments of the state, and commissioned members of the Tennessee bureau of investigation when their official duties so require as defined by §§ 38-8-106 and 38-8-107.

The key words in the above statute is "full time salaried". To be full time they MUST be POST certified within a year of appointment. Part-timers are not even allowed to operate an emergency vehicle either. The only exceptions to the law are certain counties and cities that fall into certain approved "population bracketts" which are normally enacted by Private Act of a county. Therefore, IF a reserve deputy pulls a person over, he is actually just as illegal as the person he pulls over. Just because a person gets elected sheriff doesn't mean they get to do anything they want to do...we all have that peskie little thorn in our (_*_) called LAWS.

Reserve deputies cruising all over the county was a major problem several years ago in Rhea County. We had dudes that worked for La-Z-Boy during the week driving a cop car pulling people over as a reserve deputy on weekends. Talk about civil rights violations! Reserve Deputies are for riding along, showing a presence at carnivals, parades, things like that. To assist the sheriff. All that old styled stuff sheriff's did in deputizing anything with 2 legs that sucked air and putting them in cop cars ended in 1978, just after the Limited Constitutional Convention "fiasco". Also, usually the Sheriff's "Homeland Security" guys are not much more than reserve deputies wearing federal grant money jackets. Sorry, I don't write these laws, I just read 'em.
