I heard Bobby Doss was down there in the G-ville area and was doing some "cooking" with his cousin Ted, the pill popping drunk mayor down there. Next thing we know cousin Ted will be sitting at the Dayton council with cousin Bobby. I see great things for our community. Well, if you are a drug dealer that is. So a speacial thanks to Bobby and Ted Doss, the Blues Cousins.

Just to let you in on a secret, the person that is bashing you and the GFD on this subject, as well as spending lots of time acting immoral on this web site, is believed to be a person by the name of Jason Erik Redden. He is supposedly a police officer in Graysville who for some reason couldn't make the cut after almost 3 years on the Chattanooga Police Department. A simple visit to the police services center on Amnicola Hwy. will get you his entire employment record. If you know this person, walk up and ask him what his major malfunction is against not only you, your department (one of the best in the county btw) and by his facial expression and the look in his eyes you will know for certain. But this is based on believed credible information and I offer it to you as such. I can't stand any person that demonstrates a blind hate under a misguided cloak of an authority they only think they possess. This person is also believed to be a miserable person wallowing in his own little world of self pity and lashes out at everyone and everything due to his incompetence. If this person happens to be "the culprit" then he is a danger to every citizen in Graysville and your commissioners should know. There is no place for such personality in law enforcement. But usually when we look to see who just jabbed us in the back with a knife it is usually someone we felt comfortable enough to allow close to us to begin with. Then again, maybe this information is not correct at all and this guy gave simply gave up a high salary Chattanooga job just to serve a small community.

You prtect the city from fire? Um ok. So you saved the camper trailor? No wait its on the ground. You show up and spray water. Thats about it. If its anything big you call in other departments. And your first responder program... yeah its great. You hold the victims hand til the real medical personell ( EMT's & Paramedics) get there to really help the person. You were standing there when the police were there? Thats great. Were you with them when they walked away and discussed the cause of the fire? No you werent. The flames were out. You had no usefulness at that point.

Wow someone woke up on the wrong side of the city. We may not be emt's or paramedics but so what. What level of medical training do u have ? Some people may just need for us to hold their hands, its why we VOLUNTEER . I never said we saved the camper, it would have almost been impossible to have saved it unless we were sitting outside its door and it only took us 4 minutes to get there from the time we were dispatched. Why do u care if we call other departments for big fires ,I don't know of a unpaid fire department that don't call for mutual aid on big calls so why say something about us, say something about Soddy, red bank ,sale creek ,rhea county,Dallas bay ,signal mtn. I could go on. But who really cares I guess just you do. we are just volunteers we do the best we can with what we have.

I'm not sure about the whole Erik thing ,but thank you for the saying we are one of the best fire departments around it really means something to us.

I am not sure if anyone really knows what started the fire. A fire investigator should come in and determine what caused it instead of people assuming things out of hatred. Erik Redden is a great person and a great cop. He never got fired from Chattanooga. I personally checked it out and he left on his own terms and for no ill intentions. He had a great career with Chattanooga, but felt like it was his time to leave and did so. Plus, if he were to get fired his Post Certification would have gotten pulled and he would no longer be able to be a police officer. Unfortunately people in law enforcement, fire departments, and other government jobs get the brunt of peoples anger. If people obeyed the law and didn't constantly break it there would be no complaining. The Graysville fire department is a good department for what they have. Ok someone stole gas and they got removed from all fire departments that they were connected to. The bad thing is if these people were gone from your town you would be complaining because they weren't there. Be happy for what you have and stop trashing people for doing their job. Plus, Karma is a bitch. If your house is burning down it would suck if Graysville fire department didn't show up, and Mr. Redden didn't give a damn and let the house burn. Get the facts before you run your mouth.

Get a life, I don't know if you live in graysville but thank you. We need more people like you that support the police and fire department. Erik is a good man but I'm gonna stay out of the middle of that one because I know him as a professional and a friend.
