is it right for parents to go out and act like teenagers when they have made the decision to keep their child and raise them?

Is it right that someone complains about what someone else does and does so under a fake name? Go blow a horse.

As long as the kid is being taken care of and has someone responsible babysitting them..... what does it hurt for a child's parents to go out and have fun sometimes?

As long as it's not all the time and nobody comes home plastered out of their mind so that they can't take care of their child.. everyone deserves a little break every once in a while.

what i dont get is the kids can say they need something or money forsomething and the answer is i dont have it but if we can get it from someone else then you can have it or you can do it but when the weekend comes and its time to go out to bar or with friends then they have the money exactly how is that right

I so know what you are talking about, I was in a store the other day and this little girl wanted some candy and her mom told her
"no I dont have the money" and then bought 3packs of cigarettes
I feel so bad for the kids when they are treated like that.

It is SOOOO wrong to spend money foolishly (buying cigarettes and go out partying & buy alcohol) unless the kids have 150% of their needs met! However, parents also need to spend QUALITY TIME with the kids. Throught the week, kids are at school and/or daycare and parents at work. at the end of the day when everyone gets home, parents are busy doing house chores & dont get to spend quailty time with kids throught the week, so the only time is on weekend to spend this time with kids. Now i dont have problem with parents getting away periodically, as long as kids are financially taken care of and with a good quality sitter . Although, getting DRUNK and unable to care for kids or kids seeing them drunk is unacceptble and doing this more than once every few months & not spending quality time with kids is also not good parenting behavior. When we have kids, our days of being a "college kid" are over & those kids are our #1 priority until they are adults & can properly care for themselves. Parents who dont spend the quality time with their kids will regret it one day when kids are grown & realize when kids were young, they chose to spend their life partying instead of spending their life with their kids! BUT THEN ITS TOO LATE!

yeah thats what happened with my husband his parents went out all the time when he was akid and had people over all the time got drunk done drugs and now since he is an adult they have choose to live there lives as christians but he didnt forget his childhood he still lives with it everyday its like it haunts him, he is not close with his parents now he has tryed but it seems like when he trys they do something or at least his mom does something to remind him of the past and he throws his guard up i feel bad for him i wasnt raised that way and i tryed to force the relationship only to watch it crumble around me, so people, parents dont think your chjldren arent watching or they are to young to know what your doing because trust me they dont forget. Dont be selfish put your children first,,,,
