If they ever open the mines up here we know now where the workforce will come from. No work for the locals.

I will share it. I am sharing this story there myself because it "could" effect this area given fact coal mines WILL open here.

I predict bad economic days ahead of us around here, almost scary.

sorry but i bet if obama gets reelected those coal mines will be shut down by the epa and i dont see how they got a premit for the one in the coal all the waste water will go right into hoodenpyle creek which flows into the tn. river in sale creek and if they do open i have aways doubted any jobs would go to anyone local

new Federal court ruling,hell they can not even deny permits for mountain top removel..tn. really over stepped there authority trying to regulate the industry.the e.p.a. never ever had the authority they tried to use.the clean water act they was created under never made them gods.

well, all of this happened under our current presidents nose, and they will give jobs locally. Your elected officials will pick afew of them out for sure! You or I will not qualify but someones brother or nephew sure as hell will get a job you can bet on that.

Good for them if they do. But the skilled jobs will go to experienced labor.

well, if its like any other industry around here. they didn't bring in skilled workers they used skilled local politicians.. and there families...thats all i am saying and i think most of you know it is true!!
