did YOU get HELP for your ALCOHOLISM ?I find it odd that of all the times I've been downtown, after dark, I've never been bothered but you have.
Every Dragons game I attended I never had issues with anyone bothering me, my spouse or my children.
We went to just about every single festival downtown and never had problems.
I don't know what 'gang' you are referring to but they haven't been downtown when I've been there.
I did see a drug deal happen at 3rd and Main once. And for that matter, I saw a drug deal in the parking lot at WalMart in Washington Twp.
Just a few weeks ago, I saw one at the Greene. No joke. It's pretty obvious what's going down, you have to know what to look for.
Downtown gets a bad rap because some people want to see it as bad. The suburbs are just as bad; try checking out the Chevy Chase Apts in Centerville. A friend of mine is a Centerville police officer. He has stories that would amaze all who think NOTHING happens in their city.
Every city has it's panhandlers and homeless. Rather than bitching about them, maybe doing something to help them would be more beneficial.
