Ah, but that would by definition require a tax on the poor. Are not minorities the 'diversity people' you speak of? Are they not the poor?
The TARP Wall Street government-sponsored bailouts were awarded to mostly Diversity people.

Obama himself is a Diversity person.

You are absolutely right about Obama and his entourage.

Obama is at least 2 categories of Diversity, African American and LGBTQ.

Obama is a millionaire and a real champion of Diversity.

Tax Diversity, because it's reasonable and fair.

Spock,I'm a Doctor, not a economist (sarcasm)! The wealthy do get hand outs, there called tax shelters, off shore accounts, capital gains ( money gotten thru stocks, not work) and subsidies for Oil companies, Farmers, and many other industries.

The working poor get food stamps, some utility assistance, medical card ( depending on income), and section 8 (depending on income). These are the working poor! No one is encouraged to sit at home suiting for a check. That ended with the welfare reform bill in 1996!

The TARP money $700Billion,did not go to any 'diversity' people or companies. It went to all the largest banks and Wall Street. Troubled Assets Relief PROGRAM, hardly sounds like something the poor would receive.

It's those tax shelters we are discussing (minus the "diversity' paranoia).
I maintain that those tax shelters are not going to disappear because the Democrats put them in place for their rich buddies and themselves. The Democrats have had numerous opportunities to repeal all those tax shelters and they haven't done it. If you somehow manage to do away with the tax shelters, you still have the lobbyists to deal with.

Nonsense.

TARP bailout monies went to corporations ran by Diversity people.

In turn, the bailed out corporations gave huge bonuses to their top Diversity people. Obama was publically embarrassed by the revelation of this fact.

The idea that Diversity people are all poor is a ridiculous deception.

Filthy rich LGBTQ, jewish, feminists, asians, and disabled are all top-tier Diversity people on Wall Street.

Even Spock has tacitly admitted this as a fact, by saying top democrats are all filthy rich, and Wall Street is a huge contributor to democrat causes. The Democrat party is the domestic policy wing of Diversity.

As a salient example, the ultra-sleazy Goldman Sachs on Wall Dtreet is a major advocate of Diversity...

I suppose this is merely paranoia in your little world....

Your lame fixation on democrats as the exclusive font of all evil is not amusing or the truth.

Eliminating tax shelters will not solve the gigantic budget deficit, although you fantasize about it publicly.

Your little gimmick of eliminating tax shelters will not solve or even dent the hugmongous public debt, which stands at over 16 trillion dollars.

That's a lot of money, Leonard.

Can you count that high?

He said that already. He very clearly said we would never be out of debt. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go back and read what has been said and ignore diversity for a while?

I never said anything about eliminating the public debt.

A realistic goal is to significantly reduce the public debt, and that's where Spock implies that eliminating tax shelters will significantly reduce the public debt, which stands at over 16 trillion dollars.

Apparently after vaguely realizing that scheme is horsehockey, Spock's new shtick is to "grow the economy" by 3 percent.

Try to keep up.

You'll never solve the fiscal problem if you don't know what the underlying causes are. The Diversity pyramid scheme is definitely a major source feeding the problem.

Growing the economy by 3 percent will result in approximately 3/100 * 15 trillion = 450 billion extra dollars of potentially taxable income.

Assuming half of the extra GDP is taxable, and government conficates all of it, that would be an extra 225 billion dollars for public debt pay down.

225 billion is only 225/15,000 = 1.5 percent of the public debt. It would take 100/1.5 = 70 years to pay off the public debt with the latest scheme that Spock has proposed.

Spock's new scheme includes rosey expectations for a constant 70 year US GDP growth of 3 percent that is not realistic.

Beside that fact, his appeal to authority (Princeton Ivory Tower) argument is a logical fallacy, and is noted for lameness.

Wall St apologists are always whining about the corporate tax rate, which is nothing but a number on a piece of paper.
The actual rate paid, around 12-14 percent is one of the lowest in the industrialized world.
