Hard to believe that HE is back selling cards. He is the slimy, goatee faced used car salesman: Steve VanGorder. You may remember him as the "Get In Here" shill that once worked for Jeff Schmidt. He is responsible for dozens of lawsuits over his dishonest practices of ripping off buyers with fake add-ons and deceiving financial deals. That he is still selling used cars is no surprise (there is no life after being a used car salesman) BUT to think that General Motors would give this bum a Chevrolet dealership (even if it is in Greenville, Ohio) is unfathomable. He fooled me once on a Silverado, but never again. If I can stop even one poor soul from doing business with any of his cronies, then it will be worth it! Let's hear your experience with Stevie G. Now Getoutta Here Steve!

He said that it was Jeff Schmidt who was the dirty one so he had to put some distance between them. Hmm. His commercials irritate me. He's not only in Greenville, OH. He's also in Englewood and possibly Vandalia. I wouldn't buy from him. The comfort level isn't there.

Good point about Jeff Schmidt! It is doubtful if Stevie was able to pull off scams without the man on the sign's knowledge and permission over the past 20+ years. But it is Stevie VanG who has pulled off the Search trifecta: on Google - it auto-fills as soon as I type in Steve VanG, also on Yahoo and Bing, Steve is on the first screen! That's the same as in the Pictionary of life in the Dayton area under slimy, vile, and guile car salesmen (excuse the redundancy) is a pic of smiling SteveVGorder. Avoid him and his 3 businesses' unless you want his 5-finger deal and I'm not talking about a handshake, more like a single finger salute given 5 times.

Umm...he sells cars. He wants you to talk about him. He is all about creating some buzz for the business that he works for. and you are absolutely convinced that you can beat him at his game.

I think he's doing a swell job. Irritating? Bah...do you remember Steve Tatone and some of his utterly stupid and egotistical commercials from the 70's and early 80's? Now there was a man to hate. He did actually drive business away.

this Stevie is just doing his job...and ya gotta admit, he can sell stuff!

But apparently, if not obviously, smart, successful and media savvy. I think that he has been in the car business for over 20 years.

There's a school of thought in marketing that if you remember the pitch, you are less likely to buy the product. How many have run out bought insurance because of a British-speaking amphibian; or a ghastly way too white Flo? As for the car biz, I spotted SVGs egommercial one late night (which ended with a Jeff Schmidt commercial), where he is just gizzin' in a Ford Raptor (be sure and check the seat). Now he's airing some burning, screaming chicken with a metal drumbeat. Irritating, of course - he always was. But when you think of car dealers, very few do their own. There was the exception of the late great Dave Hidy - still outstanding in his HUGE field. Ever see Beau, or Chuck or DAVE DENNIS, or anyone other than a brief Jeff Wyler dot com? The most effective might be the brunette goddess that speaks for White-Allen...... Ever see her around town? She's been pitching for years and years. Stevie has been conning folks on car deal loans for about the same length. Don't let him get away with his crap for another 20 years.

Personal favorite from Dave Hidy? When he had "The Force" Sitting in his chair going "Lights on...Lights off...lights on...lights off..." Dumb? Maybe. But I laughed and laughed at that one.

I'm not a Chevy man but if I was I'd go out of state before I dealt with svg guy. I've heard to many people get ripped by him. He just seems like a slime ball

Slime is as slime knows and speaking of slime, one has to nominate another daily irritant: Doug Mann. Can he not say a 2-syllabel word without at least 5 hand gestures? People who talk with their hands are trying to divert your attention so you won't (can't) pay attention to their message. He's been around a while- as he says chasing accidents - not ambulances when he was in the pocket of Big Insurance. But the worst of it is not the distraction of his hands, but that "thing" on his head. What is that? That's is not the color of black found in nature. When someone has to lie to themselves by wearing a full hair helmet before going into public what does that say about his honesty (whoops I forget I was describing a lawyer). At least he is in a lot of company: Ted Dansen, Bill Shatner and the king of the full hair hat, John Kerry. Just go bald, own it, embrace it!

"You have to promote yourself because you cannot depend on anyone else." Quote -- Leon Harrison Salesmanship is a talent, related to advertising with political science, shy girls and inarticulate guys need not apply or even try. No "yo yos" or "mo' fo's" or "beeatches" or "'hos" or sloppy hip-hop ganstah or farmer clothes. I am not jealous of him for doing what I have not done or can never successfully do. Howboutchoo?

If he owes a butt ton of money to IRS all he does is keep everything in "a friends" or parent's name. Trust me I owned a home I was renting out. After evicting them I had a judgement against him for 8000 dollars(damages and back rent) ironically he placed everything in his father's name and he worked for his father on a cash basis.

He had an ad on TV with some kids. I wondered if those kids were his. He seemed like a good father.
That's something nice I wanted to say for a change.
