I DEFINITELY see what you're talking about big hoss. The scum have actually found their way to this website and are posting BS Marketing, claiming their awful products work.
You people should be ashamed of yourselves. I know you've got to have a job to survive in this economy, but to work for companies that blatantly LIE about their products? Get a real job.
These heaters ARE a ripoff. End of story!

Been seeing a lot of complaints about the EdenPure US-1000 and Gen4 heaters blowing cold air. There is a reason for this: Suarez Corporation Industries doesn't perform ANY component life testing.

Despite Suarez Corporation Industries claims of a 20,000 hour heater bulb life for both the US-1000 and Gen4 heaters (the claim is both advertised and printed on the box), the actual bulb life appears to be less than 500 hours. Suarez Corporation Industries will claim the 20,000 hours is justified because the bulb is rated by the lamp manufacturer for a 20,000 hour life.

Lamp manufacturers (such as Sylvania and GE) typically test their products on "burn racks" in still air. The EdenPure US-1000 and Gen4 forcibly blow cold air on the base of the bulbs and circulate cooler air around the bulbs to be warmed. This causes the bulb seal at the base of the bulb to fail. The failed seal allows a little oxygen into the bulb every time it heats up and cools down. Making it is just a matter of time (not much time that is) before the heat bulb's heating filament fails (spectacular light show if you see it happen).

Suarez Corporation Industries cannot justify their bulb life claims as they never did any testing of the actual bulb life in their own products. i.e. Suarez Manufacturing Industries/Pinnacle Systems did no component life testing as part of the product design. The bulb manufacturer's rated life does not apply to Suarez Corporation Industries application of these bulbs in the actual environment of the inside of the heaters designed by Suarez Manufacturing Industries/Pinnacle Systems.

Best case for the owners of these heaters is a settlement like that between Bendix and Chrysler for the "Bendix 10" anti-lock brake system. i.e. Suarez Corporation Industries should provide the owners of either the US-1000 heaters or Gen4 heaters with free replacement heater bulbs for the life of the heater (At least 10-15 years since SCI advertises a 10-15 year life for these heaters).

If you depend on one of these EdenPure heaters, keep a spare set of bulbs on hand (3 bulbs at $20 ea).

ok, i see all the comments, good and bad, for these heaters. what i want to know is THIS - we need a heater like they claim - doesn't get hot on the outside etc.... we have cats and we're putting together a delightful cat shed for fosters.(hell, it's nicer than the damn house i think!)... anyway. we have a little ac in there for summer (and a ceiling fan). now winter... we don't want a regular space heater in there. so tell me.... thoughts on this? that's the only reason i would buy one of these...the personal size....is that maybe it wouldn't suck so much electricity as a space heater (and omg they suck some money)... and it would be ok for the cats to be around.
???
As a cat lover, and owner of the Aerus Guardian Heater, I can attest to the fact that they are quite safe to use around pets and children. Nothing is ever hot to the touch; rather, a warm breeze is emitted from the unit. I don't own an EdenPure (or knockoff) but my neighbor has one and it produces the same type of "safe" heating that the Aerus does. The disadvantage of the EdenPure units is that they use infrared light bulbs(rather than a ceramic core as in the Aerus) which can cause flickering of any lights in the home that are on dimmer switches.

I heat my 1800 square foot house with three $20 ceramic heaters. I blow the dust out of them with compressed air each fall. Ive been running the same ones since 2008. In all the years they have not failed to keep my house at a comfortable temp living here in MO. they are quieter than my forced air furnace, they are very small, and economical. I just couldnt justify, and quite frankly would be embarrassed buying three bulky overpriced eden pures to achieve the same results.

Want to $ave a lot of money on your electric bill?

Throw those 3 ceramic heaters in the trash heap. Invest in a new high-efficiency heat pump system. In the summertime, these heat pump systems can double as a central air conditioner.

Strategic placement of these systems is very important. They should be placed along a wall on a southern exposure so that winter sun can assist in the defrost cycles. Ideally, this same southern exposure ought to have a deciduous (leafy) tree or bush strategically placed to help shade the heat pump from above during the summertime in order to cool the air, thus saving BTU energy.
It is important to keep branches trimmed away from heat pump itself so that critical air flow is not iterrupted.

Thats funny because my fiancée got his moms edenpure heater which she had for about 1-1/2 - 2yrs and today the POS stopped working! The Fan is screwed on it and when I checked their website they don't offer any repair or items like a fan that you could buy to replace the POS fan that stopped working. I nor his family will EVER SPEND THAT INSANE AMOUNT ON SUCH A POS. I have a Large room and it barely heated my bedroom. He has a very small place with kerosene heat he had to shut all his doors, wrap his windows AND block off the kitchen ib order for the wonderful EdenPure to heat the 200sqft room...... if you stand directly in front of the vent on the POS sure it is warm heat, as warm as my.blowdryer on my flipping scalp when Im drying my hair. But back away from the damn thing and not only is it cooler air but you can just barely feel it! This thing is a SCAM for Older and Elderly people to buy because its supposedly a Dollar A Day. Which I can assure you, its not, we kept track of our light bill and it far surpassed a flipping $1.... but that's the gimmic! Buy this for $200-400 and youll save money! You're SUPPOSED to be able to run it for a $1.00 a day and that's running 24hrs. But no such luck. So Have YOU EVER OWNED IT? The person who wrote this article is exactly on point by calling this POS Scam out for what it is! And for you to be so offended by the truth must mean you to were a sucker and bought into the bullshit!

You obviously haven't had an Eden Pure for very long, hoss!
And it certainly isn't fair for you to "lump" the reputable and proven copper-coil Eden Pure technology into the same abusive diatribe of ONE overgrown paragraph..........combining.. ........ with the oft-advertised Amish Heat Surge Heaters, which any imbisol can tell is obviously a total scam & a rip-off sceme!
DOH!~~~~ "FREE" Heaters!!!~~~~DOH!
The red flag should have gone up right then & there, skippy!!!
I'll bet you never even TRIED,even SEEN or FELT THE HEAT come out of an Eden Pure , big hoss!
You're no doubt just generalizing about ANYTHING else you see advertised, because you're too C-H-E-A-P to go anywhere but "chinky-chinky Wal-Mart" to get your p.o.s. junk that'll last 1 1/2 years, then fall apart!!
We've had 2 Eden Pures ( one 750 watts, one 1500 watts) for going on three full winters now, and they're everything we expected them to be.... and more.
Even with a somewhat more-efficient and newer Bryant heat pump system, using the 2 Eden Pures during (extreme) cold days & nights has helped to cut the electric bill dramatically, allowing us to often turn the emergency electric blower heat off altogether!
I only wish we had the newer Eden Pure models...with the remote-control temperature controls!
Oh, well!

BTW any space heater is safe for pets. My dogs, cats and even a skunk have enjoyed an an open fireplace and a quartz tower heater (true infrared, the rays shine on you not hidden inside a box) but unlike children they won't get too close.

I love the heat pump idea. my mom uses one and it heats, and cools, really well.........but........it's noisy as heck and so loud you can't hear the tv without cranking it up. she needs to run it on high fan speed to cover her house.......if placement is the key to these then she'd have to install it next door! did i mention it was overly loud?
Seriously now i would love to know if this is typical for these units?

thanks guys

I have had a Eden Pure generation 3 with 6 tubes that works the best. It heats good and does what it is suppose to do. I gave it to my brother and wish I had kept it, going to buy another one. I have several electric oil filled heaters but they put junk thermostat in them all anymore and are worthless just about. I have several brand ceramic heaters and thermostat not much count, will not heat a big room and will run all the time. You get what you pay for. Get the Eden Pure generation 3 with the 6 tubes, it works good and will heat a bedroom easy. I use it to heat living room and kitchen in my trailer which is not very insulated. If you live in Alaska, it might not do the job , I am in NC and it does not get much below 25 degrees, the eden pure works okay for me. If it does not work for you, maybe you need a wood stove which will run you out of the house. Right now I have a Mr. heater attachment on low setting, hooked on top of a 100 lb propane tank here, about 4 inch circle that just glows red hot, will heat this place up real good now, runs about three day on 20 lbs of propane on low setting. Eden Pure will be safer inside the house. The China made propane wall stoves with brand names like Pro Com, etc., all the same, junk, will work 5 months and than you junk it when pilot light will not stay on.

The thermostat comments are pertinent to the discussion. The 1500watt rating of a heater is only the maximum wattage it drws when the thermostat is on. A poor thermostat or the internal thermostat which prevents overheating can reduce the time of full output.

I had two amish heaters and I have gave up on them they. Don't heat my trailer at all and my light bill did doubled in prices each mo. Now I have three enden pure heaters and they heat my three rooms up.so hot that we only.have it on three to five lights and my light bill has not.ran over two hundred yet this year and this mo. I have used it more and my bill is less this mo. Was $186. for Dec. And Jan It's $164. So I give the eden pure a A + and the Amish fire places a f
- so I recommend that it's best to buy a eden pure next year I will get my mother in law one can't live with out one .
