Back in 1991, my husband and I traveled up to Montana from S. Calif. As an artist I was always looking for ladies that still did hides the old way and when we got into her area, we heard about Agnes & went to see her. I was able to get several of her beautiful hides and made a great "old-style" gun case for a buffalo rifle. Her energy and that wonderful twinkle in her eye hve kept her in my memory and she brings a smile to my face whenever I think of her.
Just this morning I was telling some company of our visit with her and how when I followed her to the work-shed, I could hardly keep up with her! I so loved her delightful sense of humor and I was so glad to read about her now. Thanks for the article! |
