Metro Transit police have arrested a man suspected of stealing a specialized Braille laptop computer from a blind woman on a bus in November.

He threw it in the garbage. Couldn't he dump it at a church or someplace with a note to get it back to the woman. His mom is a peach too, raise a son that steals from blind people.

this guy has a future with ACORN after they release him from jail. And we can be sure he won't get any significant jail time for this. This is Minnesota. We don't like to inconvenience criminals with jail time here.

to be sure, this guy is a low-life. There is no defending a cretin who would steal from a blind woman.

What I don't understand is if his mother recognized him from the newscast, why didn't other relatives and neighbors? How grainy IS that camera's recording?

That said, I am not going along with the rest of the posse that posts on this board who want to get a rope and string this guy up. Folks. It was just a damn computer! If it was a horse, maybe a hanging would be in order. There are "worser" thefts committed by "whiter" criminals. When Madoff got caught, he didn't throw the goods into the dumpster. He mailed them off to relatives. And he gets to live in a multi-million dollar jail festooned with multi-million dollar paintings while he awaits trial. I wonder how many widders and offlings he's shaved of a computer or two.
