“Show me the money vet.” Average vet with above average billing. Because of the billing routines I grade them below average. Play off the love you have for your pet. Start with a blood test, ca-ching. When the results are in they’re “concerned” about the results and want to run another test but need your permission, ca-ching, ca-ching. Ironically, new, more expensive test shows nothing not already known. Take an x-ray and repeat “concern.” Get permission and take more x-rays, ca-ching, ca-ching, ca-ching. I’ve been a victim of this a number of times. The last straw - my pet ran up nearly a thousand dollars in bills there because of this scheme. Went to another vet and in a single $150.00 visit the problem was solved.
